Hanwha Vice Chmn. Kim Carries Out Avid Defense/Aerospace Industry Sales Promotion
Vice Chairman Kim Dong-kwan of Hanwha Group has been accelerating efforts to expand the defense industry business.

Vice Chairman Kim has also been overseeing efforts to explore future growth engines, such as aerospace and photovoltaic power businesses.
Vice Chairman Kim participated in the 32nd International Defense Industry Exhibition MSPO that took place in Targi Kielce, Poland, from Sept. 5 to Sept. 8.

Vice Chairman Kim has been prioritizing efforts to land more defense business orders on the global market so far this year.
He accompanied President Yoon Suk-yeol on an official visit to foreign countries, such as the United States and Vietnam as a member of a presidential economic delegation.
In June, he also appeared in the Paris Air Show and the New Way Smart Navy (MADEX) 2023 that took place at BEXCO, Busan, to give more weight on the defense business.
The reason behind Vice Chairman Kim¡¯s active overseas trip is achieving his goal of making Hanwha Aerospace a global top 10 defense company by 2030.
The U.S. defense journal Defense News reported that Hanwha Group ranked 30th among defense companies with $4.78 billion in sales as of 2021.
