KB Financial Group held its 15th anniversary ceremony at KB Bank headquarters building in Seoul, with more than 70 employees in attendance on Sept. 27.
In his commemorative address, Chairman Yoon Jong-kyu expressed his gratitude to customers for their unwavering trust in KB Financial Group, shareholders for their steady support, and employees for doing their best in their respective positions to provide better financial services.
Chmn. Yoon also said that KB Financial Group has become the No. 1 financial group representing Korea by completing the group's portfolio and growing its banking and non-banking affiliates in a balanced manner.
¡°Let¡¯s not stop there and strive to become the only one financial group based on humility and a venturing spirit,¡± Yoon stressed.
Chmn. Yoon emphasized the need to become a leading financial group with the best customer satisfaction and a bionic company which mixes IT technology and human resources well.
¡°We should create KB Financial Group¡¯s organizational culture to make KB Financial Group sustainable,¡± Yoon added.
¡°First of all, in order to become a leading financial group with the best customer satisfaction, we must look back at everything from customers¡¯ perspective,¡± Yoon said.
¡°At the same time, we need to pump up our efforts to make customers happy and create a better world by providing products and customer experiences that are differentiated from other financial groups.¡±
Chmn. Yoon suggested that employees develop expertise, convergence capabilities and sensitivity, which are advantages that only people can have and transform themselves into talented ambidextrous people by sharpening their digital competitiveness, saying, ¡°In order to make KB Financial Group a bionic company which harmonizes IT technology and human resources well, we need to internalize IT technology to increase our digital competitiveness.¡±
Regarding KB Financial Group¡¯s organizational culture to create a sustainable KB, Yoon said that a culture of learning and sincerely completing duties are necessary.
He urged employees to continuously grow their capabilities and absorb knowledge and information to drive their growth through work and learning.
Finally, he said that it is KB Financial Group¡¯s job to create a world where customers and employees live well together and contribute to future generations through sustainable growth.
In the meantime, women¡¯s golf legend Park In-bee, prize money leader Lee Ye-won, and super rookie Bang Shin-sil took part in a special golf lesson program for golf enthusiasts on the official practice day of the KB Financial Star Championship at Blackstone Icheon Golf Club on Sept. 6.

The company offered a special time for promising female Korean golfers by inviting them to the golf lesson program.
During a skill lesson at the driving range, the aspiring players asked the three adult professional female golfers questions about skills that they usually have had a difficulty in acquiring and improving.
Park, Lee and Bang sincerely answered each of their questions, creating a cheerful atmosphere.
In the practical lesson that followed, one professional and three dream players played a two-hole round in a group, allowing the dream players to experience the course that the professionals play and to learn how to manage the course.

KB Financial Group was honored on October 27 as the only Korean financial company to achieve an A+ general ESG grade in all ESG categories for the fourth consecutive year in the 2023 KCGS ESG Assessment and Rating Announcement, at an event by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS).
The KCGS is Korea¡¯s leading ESG rating organization. It has been announcing ESG ratings by evaluating Korean companies¡¯ ESG levels since 2011.
