KB Kookmin Card has released the ¡°Life¡± tap that offers shopping and travel services on top of the KB Pay as part of efforts to evolve the KB Pay into a life finance platform. 

KB Kookmin Card said on July 31 the ¡°Life¡± tap can be connected with the existing integrated shopping mall ¡°Kookcar Mall¡± and travel shopping mall ¡°Life Shop¡± without separate logging. 

Shopping services of the Life tap include special discounted prices for people with a competitive edge and ¡°live shopping,¡± limited provision of ¡°wish items¡± like rare products such as concert tickets and superstar entertainers¡¯ belongings, and ¡°dawn delivery services¡± in which fresh food products ordered in the afternoon are delivered early next morning. 

Apart from flights, rental cars and accommodations, the travel services of the Life tap include specialized content for the exclusive use of the KB Pay such as Jeju select restaurants and café passes, AI-based travel itinerary recommendation services and provision of recommended travel destination content. 

Those who make a reservation for tourist products will be given incentives, such as travel agents¡¯ fees.

KB Kookmin Card began to hold an event to offer incentives, such as a 7 percent discount on all international flights, to promote the Life tap in celebration its launch in August. 

A KB Kookmin Card official said, ¡°KB Pay saw its subscribers top 10 million as of the end of June, and the opening of the Life tap is expected to see subscribers and the monthly active users increase.¡± 

The Life tap services are to be opened for a second time so that customers can enjoy diverse services while staying a long time, so diverse shopping services such as presenting of gifts and subscription services and joint purchasing and expanded travel content such as overseas travel packages are to be added, the official said. 


KB Kookmin Card¡¯s ¡®WE:SH¡¯ Series Top 300,00 Cards

KB Kookmin Card said on Aug. 1 that the card company saw the issuance number of ¡°WE:SH,¡± KB Kookmin Card¡¯s representative card, surpass 300,000 in seven months after it made its debut. 

The ¡°WE:SH¡± series was launched as the card company¡¯s representative product line-up in late 2022. 

There are four WE:SH versions: ¡°My WE:SH for my happiness,¡± ¡°Our WE:SH Card for us,¡± ¡°WE:SH All Card for benefits of all at any time and at any place, and ¡°WE:SH Together Card for benefits tailored for meetings.¡± 

A look into cards issued until July 24, since its launch, showed that users in their 20s accounted for 23.1 percent, followed by those in their 30s with an 18.8 percent share with those in their 50s with an 18 percent share. 

By sex, women accounted for 56.8 percent, 1.3 times more than men with a 43.2 percent share. 

My WE:SH Card, tailored to benefits for one-member households, enjoyed popularity among users in their 20s and 30s. 

The MZ generations accounted for 66.7 percent of its total users. 

In particular, the card ranked 1st for five months since March 2023 in popularity card list of a credit card comparison platform.

Next comes WE:SH All Card in which users in their 20s and 30s accounted for 50.4 percent, but other age groups are evenly divided. 

Those in their 40s and 50s accounted for 40.8 percent of the total members of Our WE:SH Card, tailored for benefits for two persons or more. 

The card enjoyed popularity among multiple household members who choose it to receive benefits related to life costs. 

By use of each card, My WE:SH Card saw card members using e-Commerce such as online shopping account for 43.1 percent, the highest share, followed by WE:SH All Card users with a 28.8 percent and Our WE:SH Card users with a 24 percent share. 

Our WE:SH Card, which enjoyed popularity among those in 40s and 50s, saw members using large marts and medical institutions account for 18.9 percent, the highest share, compared to WE:SH All Card with a 15.3 percent share and My WE:SH Card with an 11 percent share. 

KB Kookmin Card released My WE:SH Card, carrying the character ¡°Tosimi,¡± beloved by MZ generations, on the back of customers¡¯ rising concern and support toward WE:SH cards. The card saw the number of memberships issued top 25,000 one month since its launch. 

The card company is holding a promotion event to offer the emoticon ¡°MY WE:SH X Tosimi¡± to 30,000 Tosimi design card users who have charged with the KB Pay for once more on a first come, first served basis. 

The card company plans to continue to come up with card products so they can meet demands by consumers who purse market trend change and differentiated personality through expanding of the WE:SH series in the future, the official added.
