Signs a business agreement with the Korean Committee for UNICEF to spread an inheritance donation culture based on trusts

KB Kookmin Bank will hold a large-scale concert with SM Entertainment in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

On August 11, KB Kookmin Bank released a promotional video for the SMTOWN LIVE 2023 Concert with SM Entertainment in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The ¡°SMTOWN Live 2023 SMCU Palace @Jakarta with KB Bank¡± will be held at GBK Main Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 23. 

A commercial features KB Kookmin Bank model, Aespa. 

The popular Korean girl group is also an advertising model for Bank KB Bukopin in Indonesia, is playing the role of a bridge between Korea and Indonesia by connecting the two countries. 

The commercial video starts with a beautiful night view of Seoul and later shows the Monas Tower, a landmark in Jakarta, signaling the arrival of K-POP in Indonesia.

The video also features SM¡¯s artists TVXQ!, Super Junior, Red Velvet, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV and new boy group RIIZE, who will debut in September, giving people much anticipation for the concert. 

The commercial can be seen on the official YouTube channels of KB and SMTOWN. 

Through the concert, KB plans to boost the power of the KB brand in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, as well as provide Indonesians with an unforgettable night of festivities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and Indonesia.

¡°We will take the lead in promoting cultural exchanges between the two countries through various cultural events as well as convenient financial services,¡± said a KB Kookmin Bank official.


Inheritance Donation Trust Agreement with Korean Committee for UNICEF

Kookmin Bank announced on August 22 that it signed a business agreement with the Korean Committee for UNICEF to spread an inheritance donation culture based on trusts in a ceremony at the New Kookmin Bank Building in Seoul on August 21. 

Through this MOU, Kookmin Bank and the Korean Committee for UNICEF will build a cooperation system to rev up the culture of inheritance donations.

Specifically, Kookmin Bank will discover donors and provide customized donation program design and financial solutions for the donors¡¯ asset holdings using KB Great Inheritance Donation Trust.

KB Great Inheritance Donation Trust is a product that allows donors to place property such as money and real estate in trust with a bank, let the bank manage the trust property during their lifetime, and donate their property to organizations in accordance with trust agreements which they signed after their death. 

The donations will be used to fund projects for the welfare and rights of children around the world through the Korean Committee for UNICEF.


Mutual Growth Agreement with Firefighting Industry Mutual Aid Cooperative Federation

KB Kookmin Bank announced on Aug. 11 that it signed a mutual growth agreement with the Firefighting Industry Mutual Aid Cooperative Federation on Aug. 9 to cooperate with its members.

Under the agreement, the Firefighting Industry Mutual Aid Cooperative Federation will deposit one billion won in term deposits for a shared growth agreement. 

KB Kookmin Bank will use the funds to lower interest rates on a shared growth agreement loan worth 1 billion won. 

The loan will cover small and medium-sized enterprises that are members of the federation recommended by the federation. 

The loan limit is up to 50 million won per company, and the federation will support its members with preferential interest rates for shared growth. 

¡°We expect that this agreement will reduce interest burdens on members of the Firefighting Industry Mutual Aid Cooperative Federation and contribute to the development of the firefighting industry in Korea,¡± said Lee Jae-keun, president of KB Kookmin Bank.
