Will hold a social media event called ¡°Farm+Fanfare¡± where families can experience the countryside

In June, NongHyup Bank employees lent a helping hand to farmers during the busy spring season. 

NongHyup Bank announced on June 14 that Kang Shin-no, deputy head of the Risk Management Department, and 20 employees visited a leek farm in Guri, Gyeonggi Province on June 13 and helped the farmers in the busy season by working with them.

On that day, employees of the Risk Management Division at NongHyup Bank helped the farmers harvest leeks, removed stones on the bare ground and cleaned up the environment.

¡°We will continue to strive to make NongHyup Bank a bank that makes customers and farmers happy through various support activities,¡± said Kang Shin-no, head of the Risk Management Division.

Moreover, NongHyup Bank¡¯s Seoul Headquarters visited and helped a melon farm in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province together with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation on June 12.

On the day, Cho Eun-joo, head of NongHyup Bank¡¯s Seoul Headquarters, Kim Seung-young, executive director of the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, and employees of both organizations helped the farmers by removing melon vines, collecting waste and cleaning up the farm. 

Later, they delivered 100 servings of Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) to the elderly at the Soyang Dam Senior Welfare Center in Chuncheon.

¡°To help farmers struggling with a labor shortage during the farming season, NongHyup Bank conducted farmer support activities with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation,¡± said Cho Eun-joo, head of NongHyup Bank¡¯s Seoul Headquarters.
 
¡°As a partner of local communities, NongHyup Bank will carry out various support activities that allow us to grow together with those in need in accordance with our values.¡±


Rural Life Experience Event at Bidolbaegi Village 

NongHyup Bank announced on June 2 that it will hold a social media event called ¡°Farm+Fanfare,¡± where families can experience the countryside through various hands-on activities.

The event was designed to increase farmers' income and promote a rural-urban people bond run from June 2 to June 23 on NongHyup Bank¡¯s official SNS. 

The bank will give 40 families the opportunity to take part in the event through a lottery.

The winners will be able to enjoy various experience-oriented programs such as harvesting five-color jujube cherry tomatoes, making tricolor rick cake and making scandiamoss multipurpose holders at Bidolbaegi Village in Changwon of South Gyeongsang Province on July 8.

Meanwhile, NongHyup Bank will conduct a total of nine crop harvesting and regional experience programs for 360 people nationwide, once a month until December. 

Lee Seok-yong, President of NongHyup Bank, said, ¡°Bidolbaegi Village, named after a combination of the Korean words ¡®Bidol¡¯ and ¡®Baegi¡¯ because it is located under a hill made of comb stones, is a place where you can harvest seasonal agricultural products and enjoy various experience-oriented programs. I hope it will be a valuable time for you to feel relaxed mentally and physically with your families in the green and beautiful nature of July.¡±


2023 NH NongHyup Bank Incheon Korea Cup International Soft Tennis Tournament

NongHyup Bank announced on June 16 that it will host the 2023 NH NongHyup Bank Incheon Korea Cup International Soft Tennis Tournament at the Incheon Yeolwumul Stadium from June 14 to 21.

The tournament will feature Korean national players such as NongHyup Bank¡¯s Moon Hye-kyung, Lim Jin-ah and Lee Min-seon and about 200 soft tennis players from 11 countries including Japan, China, and Thailand. 

The tournament was organized by the Korea Soft Tennis Association and sponsored by NongHyup Bank, the Korea Sport and Olympic Committee, the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Incheon City Government. 

It began as the NH NongHyup Cup International Soft Tennis Tournament in 2008. This rendition marks the tournament¡¯s 15th year. 

It is the only international soft tennis tournament in Korea and is considered a prelude to the Hangzhou Asian Games in September.

¡°NongHyup Bank continues to sponsor the tournament to strengthen the international competitiveness of Korean soft tennis players and popularize soft tennis in Korea,¡± said Park Byung-kyu, senior vice president of NongHyup Bank.
