On June 7, KB announced that it held a graduation ceremony for the third class of its youth IT academy, dubbed ¡°KB ITs Your Life,¡± at New KB Kookmin Bank Building in Yeouido, Seoul.
Launched in 2022, KB ITs Your Life is a digital talent development program for young people as part of the KB Dream Wave 2030 career field, the bank¡¯s flagship social contribution project supporting young people.
College graduates and students are selected to receive systematic software training for three months and support programs to strengthen their financial IT capabilities, including team projects on the theme of finance.
In addition, the program provides employment support programs to boost their job competitiveness, such as one-on-one employment consulting and participation in the KB Good Job Fair.
The graduation ceremony included a special lecture and a Q&A session with KB¡¯s IT executives and professionals, a presentation of excellent project cases and awards for outstanding teams, allowing the graduates to look back on their past education and thinking about their future as IT solution developers.
The outstanding teams were given an opportunity to participate in a training program to take a tour of IT facilities and systems in Korea.
KB is also recruiting students for the fourth class, which will begin in the second half of this year. Applicants can apply until June 11. The successful applicants will be announced on June 23 after an aptitude test and interviews.
The successful applicants will receive IT training for three months from July to September, including JAVA-based algorithms, SQL, responsive web development, and team projects in order to become IT talent.
¡°We hope that the graduates will move toward the realization of their dreams through this program,¡± a KB Kookmin Bank official said.
¡°We are currently recruiting for the fourth class, so we hope that many young people with dreams in the IT field will apply for this program to help them create a better future.¡±
Mobile Video Consultation Service
KB Kookmin Bank announced on June 12 that it has completed a project to enhance the convenience of its mobile video consultation service, a new sales channel.
The mobile video consultation service allows customers to sign up for face-to-face channel-level consultations and products without installing a separate program.
The service runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is longer than the business hours of branches.
It has expanded customer contact points in financial services that require face-to-face consultations, such as asset management and loan consultation.
Thanks to this enhancement, customers who have not previously transacted with KB can now sign up for products and use one-stop financial services through video consultation.
They can use most of the financial services including household loans, without visiting a branch by using this service.
In addition, this service can verify IDs with passports and mobile driver's licenses, too. Its customer-centered UI-UX boosts convenience for customers.
KB Campus Stars
KB Kookmin Bank announced on June 13 that it was recruiting the 19th class of the KB Campus Stars, a group of college students supporting KB Kookmin Bank until June 25.
The KB Campus Star has produced a total of 1,815 supporters since the first class in 2007 through the 18th class.
The recruitment targets are college students, who can apply for the program through KB Star Bank. Sixty people will be selected through document reviews and interviews.
Preference will be given to students with excellent SNS utilization skills and design and video editing skills.
From August to November of this year, the 19th class of the KB Campus Stars will carry out various activities, including differentiated missions on topics popular among the Generation Z and the creation of contents about Kookmin Bank.
During the activity period, they will receive small monthly activity allowances and additional rewards for each mission.
Participants will receive a variety of benefits, including exemption from document reviews when applying for jobs at KB Kookmin Bank and mentoring from bank professionals.
