Launch of General Manager Check Card

KB Kookmin Card announced on May 11 that it has launched the KB General Manager Check Card in conjunction with KB General Manager Service, a group passbook service of KB Bank.

The check card offers discounts on meals and desserts. Depending on a previous month's usage, it offers discounts of up to 10,000 won per area in three areas — five percent for Korean food and small restaurants, five percent for coffee and beverage specialty stores, and five percent for confectionery and ice cream stores.

A five percent discount for public transportation service will also be offered to a maxim of 1,500 won.

To commemorate the launch of the check card, KB Kookmin Card will hold a nationwide secretary showdown and group naming event until June 10.

Participants can apply by selecting one of the categories among high school reunions, college business foundation clubs, or company camping clubs on the KB Kookmin Card Event Page on the KB Kookmin Card website and submit their group names.

The winners of the contest will be chosen in a draw and receive cash rewards of 3 million won (for one person), 2 million won (for three persons), and 1 million won (for five people).

During the event, customers who use their KB Check Cards at cafes (coffee and beverage specialty stores) will receive one-quarter of the amount of money which they spent as cash back, up to 10,000 won per members.
