Dongwon F&B Releases Italian Cheese ‘Demark Ricotta Lemon’

Dongwon F&B has launched the cheese “Denmark Ricotta Lemon,” made using the traditional Italian method to ramp up competitiveness.

Dongwon F&B said on April 20 that Denmark Ricotta Lemon is traditionally refined cheese, made by reboiling milk serum.

The cheese product is made with 100 percent homegrown raw materials, so it is fresh, and its texture is soft.

The company recommended that the product be utilized as a raw material for making salads or it spreading it on bread.

In order to celebrate the release of the new product, Dongwon F&B plans to launch new menus using the Denmark Ricotta Lemon in cooperation with the premium salad caffe “Crispy Fresh,” operated by Dongwon Home Food.

A Dongwon F&B official said, “As consumers’ tastes are refined and diversified, the Korean cheese market has changed slice-type processed cheese paradigm into premium, natural cheeses, such as ‘Ricotta’ and ‘Burrata’ Dongwon F&B plans to establish itself as a leader to lead the Korean cheese market by releasing more natural cheese products, the official said.

Dongwon F&B Releases ‘Cuisine Insight Chicken’

Dongwon F&B has launched two kinds of “Cuisine Insight Chicken”: “Sweet Honey Combo” and “Hot Red Combo,” the company said on April 3.

The Cuisine Insight Chicken products are home meal replacements (HMR), made with crispy chicken wings and potato wedges cooked in a plain fashion. Sweet Honey Combo is tasty with honey sauces, while Hot Red Combo is spicy with red peppers.

The release of the new products brings to four the number of the Cuisine Insight Chicken line-ups. Dongwon F&B launched Cuisine Insight Chicken & Cheese Ball and Cuisine Insight Chicken & Tteogangjeong (Rice Cake) last year.

A Dongwon F&B official said, “We’ve planned the formation of products so that favorite items people enjoy at chicken restaurant can be eaten at home with ease.”

Dongwon F&B plans to continue to expand its portfolio in order to ramp up its competitiveness in the frozen HMR market, the official said.

Dongwon F&B Releases Premium Laver Products

Dongwon F&B has launched two premium laver products - “Yangban Dolpangui Chosarigim” and “Yangban Sinansan Gueunsaenggim” - to solidify its No.1 position in the Korean seasoned laver market.

According to Dongwon F&B, “Yangban Dolpangui Chosarigim” is made with young laver collected during the harvest season between November and next April.

The product is grilled on a quartz stone once each in a 100 degree, a 250 degree, and a 250 degree temperature, so it is crispy and smells sweet.

“Yangban Sinansan Gueunsaenggim” is made with gopchangdolgim, a raw laver collected from the Sinan Mudflat, put on the Unesco World Heritage list.
