KEPCO KPS held a ceremony to mark the 39th anniversary of its founding on April 3 and vowed to continue sustainable growth.
KEPCO KPS, a total plant solutions provider, chalked up 1,429.1 billion won in sales and 130.6 billion won in operating profit last year on a consolidated basis.
The figures represent a 3.5 percent and a 5.3 percent year-on-year increase compared to the previous year in terms of sales and operating profit, respectively.
In particular, the overseas nuclear power business posted 104.9 billion won, topping 100 billion won in sales, the best-ever business performance.
The rising sales and winning orders are owed to KEPCO KPS¡¯s executing an O&M project at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates.
The overseas thermal power generation business saw sales surge to 139.4 billion won, a 19 percent year-on-year jump, in sales.
The surging sales were attributable to spreading O&M technologies after entering Uruguay, Jordan, Madagascar, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
KEPCO KPS reaped a feat of making no forced outage and project delay fault as well as being serious industrial accident-free for the fourth consecutive year.
The company is implementing innovation tasks for the year 2023 in three areas: technology innovation, work innovation and communication innovation.
KEPCO KPS President Kim Hong-yeon urged his executives and staffers to continue efforts to secure new growth engine technologies, such as performance improvement, wind power, hydrogen power generation, fuel cell battery and decommissioning of nuclear power units and explore overseas markets.

KEPCO KPS has been strengthening its social network service platform by opening four SNS channels to facilitate online communications with stakeholders.
The company officially opened the blog channel (blog.naver.com/kpstoryroom), YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/@KPStoryroom), Instagram channel (www.instagram.com/kpstoryroom), Facebook channel (www.facebook.com/KPStoryroom).
The official opening of the channels came following a one-month pilot period since they made their debut.
