NongHyup Bank announced on April 7 that it selected 21 members of the Digital Creativity Group to lead the future of its IT domain. A launch ceremony was held for them at the NH Integrated IT Center in Uiwang of Gyeonggi Province on April 6.
The Digital Creativity Group was created to discover new business opportunities and foster digital innovation leaders. The 21 members were selected through a screening process, which reviewed their desired research themes and activity plans.
They will participate in training and seminars at specialized institutions and conduct group research and development activities by November.
Among their research themes is incorporating new technologies into financial services, such as creating a card delinquency prediction model, and recommending stocks using technologies, such as AI and machine learning.
Their research may produce a practical model to be used in NongHyup Bank¡¯s various financial services.
¡°We hope to secure future growth drivers for NongHyup Bank through the Creative Group Program,¡± said an official of the IT Division at NongHyup Bank.
¡°We will continue to provide new everyday life financial services to customers through the steady development of human resources in the digital technology sector.¡±

Event for Long-Term Fund for Young Adults
On April 7, NH Bank announced that it will hold an event for customers who sign up for Youth-Type Must-Have Fund for 2023. It will provide prizes through a lottery for newly subscribed customers of a youth-type income tax deduction long-term fund until June 30.
Youth-Type Must-Have Fund is a financial product to support young people¡¯s asset management, and targets residents aged 19 to 34. It is possible to join if a customer meets an income requirement - a total salary of 50 million won or less or a total income of 38 million won or less for the previous tax year.
The payment limit is six million won per year, and 40 percent of the total annual payment (up to 2.4 million won) is tax deductible.
If a customer signs up for Youth-Type Must-Have Fund for 100,000 won or more at a NH Bank branch or online or smart banking, and registers for direct deposit of 100,000 won or more every month for 12 months or more, he will automatically apply for the event.
A draw will select prize winners. The winners will take home Apple Airpods Max (3 people), 10,000-won mobile Shinsegae gift certificates (300 people), and 10,000-won mobile food delivery coupons 10,000 won (697 people).

On April 14, the NH Bank IT Volunteer Corps participated in the Food and Water Donation Relay Campaign, NongHyup Bank announced.
They donated bottled water to Shinan County, South Jeolla Province suffering from a prolonged drought.
The food and water donation relay campaign was promoted to help people in drought-stricken areas overcome droughts in the southern island region in the wake of a recent climate change.
¡°We hope that our employees¡¯ small good deeds will help the residents who are suffering from droughts,¡± said Seo Eul-gu, head of the IT Labor Union at NongHyup Bank who participated in the campaign.
