Lee Seung-yeol, new president and CEO of Hana Bank, said to employees on Jan. 2, ¡°We will make Hana Bank more resistant to crises and healthier by building honest communication and solid trust within the organization.¡±
President Lee made the remarks after receiving the bank flag from former President Park Sung-ho at the official inauguration ceremony held at the auditorium of Hana Bank Headquarters in Seoul.
Lee became the fourth president of Hana Bank after receiving approval in a Hana Bank general stockholders meeting.
¡°We need to focus on customers, fields and strengths,¡± Lee said.
The six management strategies are strengthening the competitiveness of the main business of the bank by expanding synergies with a focus on non-interest sectors, sharpening the competitiveness of offline sales, the digitalization of branches and head offices, becoming the number one bank in Asia and making Hana Bank a brand trusted by everyone.
¡°We should focus on customers, a reason for our banking services and think about customers first in all processes,¡± Lee said. ¡°We will further solidify a customer centeredness-oriented culture at Hana Bank.¡±
¡°Hana Bank will focus on our business in the field where customers exist, boldly granting authority and responsibility to employees in the field and fostering total marketing specialist at branches,¡± Lee continued.
¡°At the same time, we will develop human resources in our key business areas such as pensions, investment banking (IB), global businesses and financial IT systems and services. Through this, we will differentiate Hana Bank¡¯s businesses.¡±
¡°We are planning to focus on strengths, such as asset management, corporate finance, and foreign exchanges to create a wide gap with our competitors and take our human resources, organization and systems to the next level.¡±
Lee also promised to strengthen communications with employees in the field to put this into practice.
In addition, Hana Bank will employ a policy to make a performance-oriented principle that gives preference to talented people who produce results regardless of their hometowns, genders, and academic backgrounds.
In the meantime, Hana Bank announced that it will hold the Hana 1Q New Year¡¯s Event through the mobile app Hana 1Q until Jan. 27.
Hana Bank¡¯s general financial platform ¡°Hana 1Q¡± is a recommended service for customers in honor of starting the New Year in 2023.
The service covers information on tax laws in preparation for year-end tax settlements, notification services by Gupi, a public assistant, New Year¡¯s fortune telling service Hana Fortune and non-face-to-face OneSign authentication services.
Hana Bank has independently developed and is operating Hana OneSign, a certificate that can be used for various public services.
Since last November, Hana 1Q has been linked with Guppi of the Korean Ministry of Public Administration and Security to provide administrative information for daily life.
In this manner, Hana Bank is continuing to improve and advance its comprehensive financial platform through digital innovation.
This event will give department store gift certificates worth 10,000 won to 1,000 customers who applied for the Hana 1Q New Year¡¯s Event on the mobile app, Hana 1Q.
In particular, as a customer participation type experience event, the more customers use services recommended by Hana 1Q, the higher chance of winning they can have.
