Korea Investment & Securities (KIS), a flagship subsidiary of Korea Investment Holdings (KIH), has launched a service linked to Hana Bank’s foreign currency account, targeting BanKIS member customers, the company said on Oct. 25.
BanKIS is KIS’s online stock transection service, which is offered via non-face-to-face and through commercial banks. People can invest in foreign stocks by clicking and transferring the Million Dollar Account on the KIS app after opening the BanKIS stock account linked to Hana Bank’s account.
Korea Investment & Securities and Hana Bank are conducting an event to celebrate the launch of the service linked to Hana Bank’s foreign currency account.
Among those who open the Million Dollar Account until Nov. 30, 4,000 people were given 10,000 won on a first-come, first-served basis, and 20,000 people are drawn to receive an ETF share per person. Successful lottery winners are also given an opportunity to invest in 91-day foreign currency repurchase agreements with an annual interest rate of 3.5 percent.
Korea Investment & Securities also offers a service to automatically sell and purchase foreign currency RPs using dollars held in its accounts.
The service is expected to give an opportunity to raise additional income using the remaining deposit after making investments.

Korea Investment & Securities (KIS) released “Show Me The Report,” a research initiative using the nation’s first VR human, the company said Dec. 1.
Show Me The Report is a service in which a VR human named “Han Ji-ah” gives a three- and four-minute video research report.
It has been developed to deliver market forecasts and views on investments to investors more easily at a method corresponding to the mobile environment, a departure from the conventional method of reading and hearing.
Han Ji-ah is a VR character created by learning the faces of the 2022 freshmen employees through Korea Investment & Securities’ collaboration with the AI service company ESTsoft.
The VR human is expected to serve as KIS’ freshman employee responsible for conducting diverse duties, such as research content, public relations, product explanation and in-house education.

Korea Investment & Securities (KIS) won the top prize in the securities category of “2022 Korea Securities Grand Awards.”
The top prize in the asset management category went to KB Asset Management.
Korea Investment & Securities has been given more points for demonstrating the standing of a leading securities company armed with stable business capabilities, coupled with digital financing, such as differentiated customer management systems and foreign share “ministock.”
