KB Kookmin Bank Launches Health Installment Savings with Interest Rate of up to 8% per Year
Will spearhead a campaign called ¡°Promise Not to Drink and Drive¡± to prevent drunk driving until Jan. 1, 2023

KB Kookmin Bank announced on Dec. 15 that it has launched ¡°Health Installment Savings¡± with an interest rate of up to 8 percent.

Health Installment Savings is a free installment product that differentially applies preferential interest rates according to the number of steps taken by account holders. 

You can save money from 10,000 won to 200,000 won per month. Its contract period is six months. Subscription is possible through KB Star Banking until June 14, 2023. 

Its basic interest rate is 2.0 percent per year. If the number of steps is checked through KB Star Banking after taking 100,000 steps per month, a preferential interest rate of 3.0 percentage points is provided at a maximum of 0.5 percentage points per month. 

In addition, a preferential interest rate of 1.0 percentage points per annum is provided for those who completed stamping footprints six times at KB Star Banking once a month. 

You can get interest rates of up to 8.0 percent by receiving 2.0 percentage points per annum for those who did not log in to KB Star Banking for more than six months as of the end of the month prior to the end of the month before subscribing to the installment savings. 

Installment savings and preferential interest rates are provided for customers who are senior citizens. Customers aged 60 or older can sign up at branches. 

The same preferential interest rate is provided even if they achieve only 50,000 steps, which is half the target number of steps. 






Anti-Drunk Driving Campaign

KB Kookmin Bank announced on Dec. 19 that it will spearhead a campaign called ¡°Promise Not to Drink and Drive¡± with TMAP to prevent drunk driving until Jan. 1, 2023.

This campaign was prepared to spread a responsible drinking culture in honor of the first year-end celebration following the easing of social distancing measures against the COVID-19 virus. 

Anyone who has signed up for KB Wallet in KB Star Banking can receive a 5,000-won discount coupon for a TMAP designated driver service.

2022 Soldiers Make-a-Wish Project

KB Kookmin Bank announced on Dec. 7 that it held an awards ceremony for the 2022 Soldiers Make-a-Wish Project which realizes the wishes of military service members.

The awards ceremony was held at the Defense Convention in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on Dec. 6 with the attendance of Kim Seong-min, director of policy planning at the Ministry of National Defense and Kim Dong-rok, head of the Institutional Customer Group at KB Kookmin Bank.

The 2022 Soldiers Make-a-Wish Project co-hosted by the Ministry of National Defense and KB Kookmin Bank is a program in which military service personnel write down their wishes along with their stories and judges select winners through screening, and make their wishes come true. 

The project which celebrates its 13th anniversary this year received a total of 1,400 stories. 


Prevention of School Violence by Creating Musical Club Rooms

KB Kookmin Bank announced on Dec. 18 that it has opened a ¡°musical club room¡± at Eunhaeng Middle School in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province on Dec. 15.

The Musical Club Room Creation Project is promoted by KB Kookmin Bank together with the Ministry of Education to prevent school violence. 

An aging idle space in a school is remodeled into a musical practice space loaded with mirrors, lighting, video and sound equipment among others.

Since 2018, KB Kookmin Bank has been creating musical club rooms in eight elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide every year. 

From script writing work to musical rehearsals and performances, the bank supports students¡¯ proactive participation. 

Moreover, students can enjoy such activities as art wall production with cultural art mentors, preparations for musical performances and art psychology programs.
