Hyundai Oilbank agreed to extend a supply contract for petroleum products to Sunoco, a U.S. petroleum product distributer, for next year, the Korean refinery said on Nov. 3.

With the extending of the petroleum product supply agreement, Hyundai Oilbank has established a stable petroleum product export market to Hawaii, the United States.

The long-term direct transaction has a strong point of selling stable volumes of petroleum products under fixed terms, unlike dealings through traders.

Hyundai Oilbank began to export Korean petroleum products to Hawaii last July. The Korean refinery has directly supplied a combined 3.6 million barrels of gasoline and diesel to Sunoco so far this year.

Hyundai Oilbank is going to supply to Sunoco petroleum products similar to those being supplied this year.

Lee Seung-soo, head of Hyundai Oilbank¡¯s Global Business Division, said, ¡°The extending of the long-term contract is expected to promote cooperation with global gas station firms with distribution networks in the Continental United States and the whole area of the globe.

Hyundai Oilbank has continuously expanded its export markets beyond the conventional Asian petroleum product markets, such as Singapore and Indonesia.

New Zealand, which began dealing with Hyundai Oilbank in 2013, has imported more than 7 million barrels of petroleum products annually.

Hyundai Oilbank Launches Heating Oil Order Service Bonus Card App ¡®BLUE¡¯

Hyundai Oilbank is launching a new service in which orders on heating fuel can be placed via its bonus card app.

Under the conventional call order method, customers have experienced inconveniences, such as confirming whether heating oil can be delivered and errors related to oral order on delivery time, place and amounts.

Hyundai Oilbank¡¯s bonus card app ¡°BLUE¡± now allows customers to place an order on heating oil. If you click on the heating oil menu of the app ¡°BLUE,¡± you¡¯ll find a map of stations, run by Hyundai Oilbank.

Customers need to pick a gas station you want to choose and input delivery time, place and amounts they want.

The proprietor of the gas station will be texted and a sound notice will be sent to the outlet.

The proprietor, after receiving the text, can proceed with the delivery after calling the customer to confirm the information of the order.

A Hyundai Oilbank official said, ¡°The heating oil order service is expected to have a good reception from digital service-savvy customers.¡±

Hyundai Oilbank will expand services tailored to meet the satisfaction of several clientele groups, the official added.
