Korea Electrical Safety Corp. (KESCO) had a meeting with member companies of the Korea Defense Industry Association (KDIA) to secure electrical safety at defense facilities.
The meeting happened at Gyeongnam Techno Park in Changwon City, on Oct. 28 with KESCO Senior Executive Vice President Jun Jong-sung and company officials responsible for facility management.
The meeting occurred under the pretext of strengthening the safety of defense facilities and preventing industrial disasters.
An MOU was struck in May between KESCO and KDIA to secure the development and safety of national mainstay industries.
Participants were given the opportunity to listen to grievances and complaints field people experience and how to cope with them on the top of the release of a danger diagnosis on the prevention of industrial disasters and safety accident cases and electrical safety for the prevention of serious accidents.
KESCO Senior Executive Vice President Jun said, ¡°KESCO will lend a hand to efforts to ramp up the competitiveness of the national strategy industry by spearheading efforts to secure the safety of the defense industry.¡±
KESCO Teams Up with LS ELECTRIC to Innovate Safety Management in Digital Platform Sector
Korea Electrical Safety Corp. (KESCO) and LS ELECTRIC have joined forces to spread safety services based on digital platforms using remotely-controlled systems.
KESCO President Park Ji-hyun and LS ELECTRIC Chairman Koo Ja-kyun struck an MOU on safety management based on digital platforms at Seoul LS Yongsan Tower on Nov. 7.
Under the deal, both sides agreed to cooperate in providing customer-oriented sustainable safety diagnosis services, offering customer safety services reinforced with trend safety management and convergence of asset management solutions, providing digital safety series based on platforms, such as upgrading digital technologies and data analysis, and spreading online real-time remotely-controlled security systems such as development of electrical safety grade life evaluation manuals and building AI-based safety management regimes.
KESCO President Park said, ¡°We¡¯ll spearhead efforts to secure people¡¯s safety by employing the private sector¡¯s latest technologies and KESCO¡¯s expertise on the operation of remotely-controlled systems.¡±
He called for active cooperation in making electrical safety management based on digital platforms a digital innovation example.
LS ELECTRIC Chairman Koo said, ¡°Transition to safety management based on digital platforms is expected to boost efficiency and trust, and we¡¯ll cooperate in creating added values using big data, coupled with electrical safety data.¡±

KESCO Takes Home Top Prize in Korea SNS Grand Awards for 3rd Consecutive Year
Korea Electrical Safety Corp. (KESCO) won the top prize in the public entity category at the 12th Korea SNS Grand Awards three years in row at the Seoul Press Center on Oct. 14.
The 12th Korea SNS Grand Awards ceremony was hosted by the Korea Association for Social Contents¡¯ Development (KASCO) and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and IT (MSIT).
Korea SNS Grand Awards are presented to institutions which have made outstanding performances via expert evaluation and user voting on the operation of social network services, operated by Korean companies, local government bodies, and public entities.
KESCO has been credited ensuring electrical safety by operating the blog ¡°Electrical Safety Zone¡± and spreading an electrical safety culture.
