POSCO E&C has succeeded in developing an eco-friendly concrete formwork utilizing waste plastic and steel slag.
The formwork, developed by POSCO E&C and Iomtek, POSCO¡¯s in-house venture company, is made in a format of a steel plate by combining melt waste plastic and powdered steel slag.
The formwork has not only raised the utilization of waste plastic and steel slag, but also it is evaluated to be an exemplary model of developing eco-friendly construction materials since it has proved to have an excellent function compared to the conventional wood plate one.
The formwork production technology took home a top prize in the public contest, dubbed ¡°Revalue Storytelling,¡± designed to let POSCO E&C¡¯s latest intrinsic values known widely.

POSCO Lands 500 Billion Won Remodeling in Yeongtong, Suwon
POSCO E&C was selected as the winner of a project to remodel ¡°Byuckjeokgol LH Apartment Complex 8¡± in Yeongtong, Suwon, on July 30.
The apartment complex, dedicated in 1997, is aged 25 this year. The project calls for remodeling the complex with 18 apartment buildings with 1,548 units into 18 buildings with 1,646 units.
The newly built 108 units are to be sold to the general public, and the project will cost 524.9 billion won.
