Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) held a ceremony to inaugurate the organizing and launch of the committee of the Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum at Lotte Hotel in Jamsil, Seoul, on June 23. 

The organizing committee is manned by 15 people representing religious, economic, social, cultural and sports circles for the successful hosting of the forum. 

Chairman Oh Ji-chul of the Heart-to-Heart Foundation was elected as the chairman of the organizing committee of the Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum during the inaugural session. 

The organizing committee¡¯s term is until December 2023. It is expected to offer advise on preparations on the hosting of the Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum, operation and how to develop it. 

KSPO Chairman Cho Hyun-jae said, ¡°I extend thanks to all organizing committee members¡¯ willing acceptance for the successful hosting of the Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum, and I expect the organizing committee to play many roles that the forum, prepared by KSPO, the management entity of the world¡¯s top Olympic legacy recognized by IOC, can spread Olympic values widely.¡± 

Meanwhile, the Seoul Olympic Legacy Forum obtained the ¡°Olympic Designation Level,¡± a symbol of IOC¡¯s official patronage. 

The forum will be held at the Seoul Olympic Park Hotel from Oct. 18 to Oct. 19 under the theme ¡°Next G Through Olympic Legacy.¡± 

IOC President Thomas Bach will give a keynote speech, former U.N. secretary general Ban Ki-moon will give a commemorative speech, while IOC and 13 entities of managing Olympic legacies around the world will engage in debates. 


KSPO Discusses How to Conduct Greater Innovation through Workshop

Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) hosted the ¡°KSPO Autonomous Innovation and Future Development Workshop,¡± designed to cope with inside and outside calls for innovation of public entities.

During the workshop, KSPO Chairman Cho Hyun-jae called for securing fiscal soundness, raising organization and personnel management efficiency, overhauling non-essential functions, ramping up support to the private sector¡¯s growth and working out dramatic and preemptive ways of promoting innovation in public communication and organizational innovation capability sectors. 

KSPO decided to raise profitability by overhauling sports voting rights, cycling and rowing business structure, and retrenching expenditures by diagnosing and overhauling commissioned management projects. 

KSPO will also create new revenues using Olympic Park facilities in order to secure financial soundness.

KSPO Reveals Sound Source of ¡®KSPO Gymnastics¡¯ Lofi Remake 

Producer OVN has remade ¡°KSPO Gymnastics¡± into a ¡°MZ generation labor music Lofi.¡± Korea Sports Promotion Foundation unveiled the mini-album containing three musical pieces of KOSPO Gymnastics and a recapped version. 

¡°KSPO Gymnastics Lo-fi (OVN Remix)¡± posted on the YouTube gained 7.25 million video views. 

Considering that most generations who had grown while doing a national exercise listened to the music source, KSPO Gymnastics was remade into a quiet Lofi version to convey music filled with their school days¡¯ memories. 

Lo-fi producer OVN released Daily Mood¡¯ (2020), ¡®SEOUL MADE EP¡¯ (2021).
