Woori Bank announced that it would launch an advertisement campaign for Woori WON in collaboration with IU, a female entertainer, beginning from June 3.
It was the first time in three years since Black Pink, a Korean girl band, worked as an advertising model of the bank in 2019.
As IU overwhelmingly ranked first among advertising model candidates recommended by employees in a survey, Woori Bank is planning to show the right vibe with IU through this ¡®Woori WON¡¯ advertisement.
Woori Bank will approach the MZ generation as a friendlier bank with advertisements featuring IU. Woori Financial Group selected IU as an advertising model in April, gaining attention from various age groups with the concept of ¡®I + You = Woori (Us in Korean).¡¯
While IU appears as a familiar and affable character in Woori Financial Group ads, IU is a ¡®young¡¯, ¡®smart¡¯, and ¡®trendy¡¯ woman that the financial industry is zeroing on.
The slogan of this campaign is ¡°Do You Want to Know?¡± It implies finding answers to complex financial questions through Woori WON Banking.
With the campaign, Woori Bank will actively emphasize the usefulness and convenience of the Woori WON brand, expanding people¡¯s interest in and anticipation for Woori WON Banking.
¡°This advertisement will make customers think about Woori WON Banking first when they need financial solutions, such as ¡®Ranking of Experts¡¯ where they can learn investment secrets from investors,¡± a Woori Bank official said.
¡°We will produce excellent advertisements on Woori Bank¡¯s business and vision with IU.¡±
