To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Shinhan Financial Group, major Shinhan affiliates are planning nationwide events in which employees will voluntarily participate in July.
They are events that employees can participate in such as Beer Day, going to baseball games and watching musicals.
Shinhan Financial Group emphasized employees’ voluntary participation in the events for the anniversary. Some Shinhan affiliates plan to prepare organizational culture and behavior guides created with the participation of employees.

Shinhan Financial Group will celebrate the group’s 40th anniversary this July. It is planning two major events. The group will hold a customer appreciation event for the month of July. Events for employees are being prepared by each affiliate.
Shinhan Bank has prepared a nationwide employee program so that employees can have a good time with their families, friends and colleagues. Seven main programs will satisfy employees of various age groups.
Shinhan Financial Group will hold the Cham Shinhan Music Concert with Book Introduction, a cool music festival on summer nights for employees and citizens at the City Hall Square in Seoul.
In addition, Cham Shinhan Baseball Day will be held simultaneously at five baseball stadiums across the country.
Winners of the Shinhan Music Award will put on a classical music show in honor of the 40th anniversary of Shinhan.
Shinhan Cinema Day will give employees and customers free tickets for five cinemas across the country. A musical will be presented at the Blue Square Shinhan Card Hall in Seoul on Shinhan Musical Day.
In particular, Beer Day will be held, targeting employees who are far away from Seoul Square or baseball parks or do not find events that suit their preferences.
"It is not a unity promotion event where employees have to gather at their regional headquarters, but offers time to enjoy cold beer and delicious food with local coworkers after work," a Shinhan Bank official said.
Shinhan Card plans to create an action guide with the participation of employees.
A Shinhan Card official said, "In order to practice Shinhan Financial Group’s core values of “Working Right, Fast and Differently,” we will create a mindset that Shinhan Card employees should have and draw up an action plan that they have to keep in mind and implement."
The Shinhan Financial Group Hope Foundation won a presidential citation for its family-friendly management at the 2022 Family Month Ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family held at the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul on May 20.
As part of the Hope Society Project, Shinhan Financial Group social contribution program, Shinhan Financial Group is carrying out the Shinhan Dream Dodamteo Project to provide after-school care services for elementary school students.
This commendation was awarded for the financial group’s contribution to the creation of an egalitarian family culture through the prevention of women’s career interruptions and the promotion of family welfare.
The Shinhan Financial Group Hope Foundation signed a business agreement with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to establish a joint childcare center in 2018, and has opened a total of 123 joint childcare centers.
A total of 894,000 people used the services so far. Some 200 will be opened by the end of 2023.

We will spare no effort in building a society full of hope through a wide array of social contribution activities.”
Meanwhile, based on the group’s ESG slogan, Do the Right Thing for a Wonderful World, Shinhan Financial Group is carrying out various social contribution activities such as the renovation of childcare centers, a youth debt total care project, and support for young people’s overseas careers.
