The Korea Society Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities held the 1st Sharing Exhibition that Changes the World - Changing People¡¯s Awareness of People with Disabilities at Seoul Metro Museum of Art Hall 1 with support from KB Kookmin Bank. The exhibit ran for six days, from April 1 to 6.
The exhibition was targeted at teenagers from disabled and non-disabled families. It was hosted by the Korea Society Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities and Seocho C&C Art Academy, and supported by the Community Chest of Korea and KB Kookmin Bank.
This exhibition was held under the theme of ¡°Changing Awareness of People with Disabilities¡± with the purpose of wishing to improve overall awareness of physically challenged people.

About 200 visitors participated in this event, with works by 13 Do Dream Star Scholarship students and 11 non-disabled teenagers from Seocho C&C Art Academy. A total of 36 works were exhibited.
The event offered programs such as a quiz show to boost awareness.
On April 6, the last day of the exhibition, a total of nine works were selected as winners. They took home nine prizes - one grand prize, three excellent prizes, and five special prizes.
The top prize went to Lee Han-hee (3rd grader at Jinjeop High School who has hearing disability) who drew two works.
Lee introduced the principle of hearing in an easy-to-understand way for anyone to understand when using a cochlear implant device, an assistive device used by the hearing impaired.
¡°I hope that many citizens will understand about cochlear implants through my work,¡± Lee said. ¡°I wish to see a society where both disabled and non-disabled people coexist harmoniously.¡±
¡°I am delighted that this exhibition became an opportunity for scholarship students to experience and grow while enjoying artistic activities and provided an opportunity for citizens to improve their awareness of the disabled,¡± an official from KB Kookmin Bank said.
¡°We will do everything in our power to nurture future generations and create sustainable social values to achieve this goal.¡±
Meanwhile, KB Kookmin Bank signed a business agreement to introduce digital certificates for military personnel.
KB Kookmin Bank announced on April 1 that it had signed a business agreement with the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), the Military Mutual Aid Association C&C, the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute, and Raon WhiteHat to introduce digital certificates for military service members in the financial sector.
Through a business agreement, KB Kookmin Bank will improve the subscription process for KB Soldier Tomorrow Installment Savings, a product exclusively for active-duty soldiers in June.
When blockchain-based distributed identity authentication (DID) technology is applied, a digital certificate is issued to confirm qualifications to sign up for savings accounts.
Then, soldiers can apply for non-face-to-face subscriptions through KB Star Banking Smartphone App. and KB Mobile Branch App.
After the non-face-to-face subscription to KB Soldiers Tomorrow Installment Savings is implemented, soldiers can sign up directly regardless of location as long as they are allowed to use their smartphones.
If a soldier signs up for a non-face-to-face subscription at a training center, he can pay his savings during his entire service period.
The KB Tomorrow Installment Savings is a representative financial product to support those who fulfill their military or social service obligations, by preparing a sum of money after being discharged.
It was prepared by service organizations such as the Ministry of National Defense, the National Police Agency, and the National Emergency Management Agency.
It contains a number of benefits, such as a 1 percent interest subsidy paid by the government and a social rehabilitation subsidy as a tax-free savings account, with an interest rate of up to 5.5 percent per annum.
KB Kookmin Bank will carry out the Nara Sarang Card Issuance Project until 2025 and operate various financial products for military personnel.
KB Kookmin Nara Sarang Card provides insurance services for accidents both inside and outside barracks as well as benefits such as discounts at PX stores at military bases.
It offers a variety of benefits, such as discounts on public transportation and movie theaters. Reservists can also use the card.
