NongHyup Bank announced on March 13 that it held a ceremony in honor of the opening of ¡°NH-Idea Ground,¡± a creative and communication space prepared at the NH IT Center on March 11.
NH-Idea Ground is a complex space where NongHyup Bank employees and visitors can freely experience new IT technologies, such as the metaverse world and artificial intelligence (AI), and expand ideas using new technologies through experiences without being restricted by office environments.
The space consists of Open, Creative and New Technology Lounges. In the AI Zone of the New Technology Lounge, visitors can try using an AI thermometer, CNN-based selfie conversions, Dak IN Credit Card, and NH virtual health trainers.
They can also experience financial education on blockchain, smart contacts and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the blockchain zone and AR-based ATMs and Dokdo virtual branches in the metaverse zone.
NH-Idea Ground reflects the ideas of NonHyup Bank employees from planning to space arrangement in accordance with the purpose of its construction.
NongHyup Bank plans to take the lead in creating a culture to lead digital innovation based on this space.
¡°It is important for all NongHyup Bank employees to have digital minds to leap forward as a super-innovative digital bank,¡± said Kwon Joon-hak, head of NongHyup Bank.

NongHyup Bank Appoints AI ¡®Employees¡¯
NongHyup Bank announced on March 8 that it has appointed ¡°Jeong Yi-den¡± and ¡°Yi Roh-woon,¡± artificial intelligence (AI)-powered virtual characters as public relations models for NongHyup Bank.
Jeong and Yi are virtual bank workers created by synthesizing the faces of MZ generation employees working at NongHyup Bank. NongHyup Bank hired them as regular bank employees in January.
The company granted them official employee numbers and completed their deployment at NongHyup Bank in February.
As the representative faces of NongHyup Bank over the next year, they will be active in various fields, such as filming press photos and promotional videos, and supporting internal and external events.
NongHyup Bank expects the AI employees will contribute to promoting the management goal of ¡°customer-centered super-innovative digital bank leap forward.¡±
NongHyup Bank also appointed an NH YouTuber who will carry out public relations activities for a year.
The NH YouTuber will produce and appear on various social networking services (SNS) contents that can interest customers such as hobbies and life information as well as financial products and services.
Launches Next-Generation Information System
NongHyup Bank announced on March 8 that it has launched a project to build a next-generation information system for data-based customer management.
The next-generation information system is a system that collects, analyzes, and utilizes information such as customer consulting contents, transaction methods, and business results through branches, call centers, and non-face-to-face channels.
NongHyup Bank explained that the next-generation information system is quite meaningful in that it provides a customized marketing environment.
NongHyup Bank plans to complete a system that integrates and provides all data of NongHyup Bank in real time along with the next-generation information system by August 2023.
NongHyup Bank¡¯s next-generation information system is expected to serve as a big stepping stone in the bank attaining the goal of growing into a super-innovative digital bank in that it lays the foundation for data-based decision-making.
