Samsung Electronics has released its full 9000 series lineup with the goal of rising to the global No.1 position in the home appliance market by 2015.
Yoon Boo-keun, president of Samsung Electronics CE Division/Home Appliance Business, participated in a session to introduce new products at the Seocho-dong headquarters in Seoul on Feb. 21. “These are the products that can offer new lifestyles, which have never been seen before. They go beyond the conventional appliances that assist in housework and they will enable us to conquer the world within three years,” Yoon said.
They include the Bubble Shot 3 W9000, the first premium product in the washer segment; the Zipel FS9000, rewriting the concept of the refrigerator; and the Q9000 air conditioner whose different kinds of wind can be designed by users.
Yoon unveiled the Bubble Shot 3 W9000, capping the top five premium home appliance scheme. He has been recognized for his role in helping Samsung TV reach the global top spot for the seventh consecutive year. Samsung Electronics’ efforts to innovate home appliances in the context of becoming the world’ s No.1 has paid off with its release of the 9000 series.
The newly released products are not just based on large capacity and excellent technology, but provide new things that have never been seen before, company officials said. The Zipel FS9000 is divided into the “Incase” fridge compartment for food and food materials that are bulky and not often used and the “Showcase” fridge compartment for fruits and juice and other food that are taken out frequently. The transparent door of the Incase part allows users to check the six independent spaces at a glance, serving as a cafeteria tailored to satisfy each family member’ s needs.
The predecessor of the latest fridge is the T9000, targeting those in the middle-age who favor a larger-capacity and freer partitioning, and the new one appeals to those in the younger generations who attach priority to time management.
The Bubble Shot 3 W9000 washer, set to be put on the market in March, has a capacity of 21 kg and offers an automatic one-stop solution for adjusting detergents and fabric softeners suiting the weight of the laundry. An eye catcher is an air drying system, the nation’ s first such one not using cold water. For instance, the new system can save 52 liter of water, which was used for drying 3 kg of laundry in the conventional method of drawing in cold water for the purpose of driving out the humid air into the outside.
President Yoon said the Bubble Shot 3 W9000 is a brand-new washing machine based on an innovative technology for both washing and drying in one machine.
The air-conditioner Q9000 offers seven different types of wind from three wind doors. The highlight of the air-conditioner is the High-Pass Cooling System converting the air inhaled through the indoor unit into cool air.
The Zipel FS9000 is priced at 3.77 million won for the 834 liter size and 4.47 million won for the 856 liter size. The Bubble Shot 3 W9000 has eight different models ranging in price from 1.8 million won to 2.35 million won. The Q9000 is priced at between 2.5 million won and 5.2 million won.
