KB Kookmin Bank and SK Telecom signed an NUGU-based AI Banking Service Business Agreement in 2021. In early February of this year, they introduced “Conversation with Koli,” which is an AI-powered service of a KB banking app.
Conversation with Koli is a service in which Koli appears as a 3D character to talk to customers and respond to their requests.
If you call “Koli” in the Liiv Next App, you can start the service and enjoy various animations depending on the situation.
The tasks that can be handled through “Conversation with Koli” range from financial transactions such as remittances and balance inquiries to checking the weather, and encyclopedia searches.
In addition, the service can be used not only in voice mode but through chatting services. You can choose between the two and a start a conversation.
In the application, if you register your account information, you can transfer money using a nickname only through a conversation, without having to enter your bank account number.
In addition, if you use your biometric authentication information, or enter your password and log in, you can communicate with Collie to remit money without additional authentication procedures.

Establishment of Pilot Virtual Branch in Roblox
KB Kookmin Bank announced on Feb. 9 that it successfully completed a test on the applicability of financial services using Roblox, a metaverse game platform.
Earlier, KB Kookmin Bank created a beta version of KB Financial Town within Roblox and launched a game that combines virtual branches and finance.
The virtual branch was created to verify the possibility of incorporating financial services into Roblox. It experimentally implemented a service connecting with external information, such as stock prices, the combination of a KB video counseling service operated by KB Kookmin Bank and mobile branches, and asking fathers for allowances.
The game is designed for the financial education of users, based on a scenario in which real estate is purchased and necessary funds are loaned by the bank.
Gamers can receive loans at KB Kookmin Bank’s virtual branch in Roblox. If they fail to repay their loans, their credit rating will fall.
Users can obtain game money or increase their credit rating through “treasure hunts,” among others.
KB Financial Campus S.I.N.G Project for Startups
KB Kookmin Bank announced on Feb. 8 that it held a meeting to share the results of the third KB Financial Campus S.I.N.G Project, a program to foster social innovation start-ups.
“S.I.N.G” stands for Social Innovation Startup New Guru. It is one of KB Kookmin Banks’ social contribution projects to strengthen the business capabilities of startup companies that solve social problems.
The third KB Financial Campus S.I.N.G Project began in October last year.
Through the project, KB Kookmin Bank conducted a practical training program on corporate management such as finance and finance and offered one-on-one customized consulting and mentoring by KB Kookmin Bank financial experts for 10 weeks.
In the event held online, participants laid out their business plan based on the content of the training. Prize money was given to companies selected as excellent participating companies through reviews and evaluations.
The participants also enjoyed time to celebrate their completion of the program.
Among the excellent participating companies were Madeleine Memory which ran used market solutions for fashion brands, Ideal Lab which operates a kids class platform for children and Feelthefeel which distributes visualized performing arts online.
