The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and the Korea International Trade Association will host the 2022 Seoul International Sports & Leisure Industry Show (SPOEX) which will run for four days from Feb. 17 to 20 under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The 2022 SPOEX will be held as a large-scale online and offline hybrid exhibition, with 179 sports companies participating and 1,087 booths in three halls.
Naver Shopping Live and YouTube will broadcast the event live through the internet.
This year, the 2022 SPOEX will hold an online video export consultation to explore overseas markets for Korean sports companies by utilizing the Korea International Trade Association¡¯s global network.
Participating companies will be provided with free non-face-to-face and remote export consulting and interpretation and translation services at the Sports Industry Support Center run by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation after the 2022 SPOEX.
¡°I hope sports companies suffering from the spread of the COVID-19 virus will be known around the world through the 2022 SPOEX to explore various markets abroad,¡± said Chairman Cho Hyun-jae of the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.
¡°As the 2022 SPOEX will be held online and offline, we will try to thoroughly manage quarantine for those who visit the venue offline and let online visitors feel as if they were in the exhibition hall off line.¡±

Meanwhile, booths with various concepts will welcome visitors to the 2022 SPOEX. They will include the ESG Theme Promotion Center and VR Experience Center of the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.
In addition, the 2022 SPOEX will offer various programs such as a fitness contests, events by professional sports organizations, on-site physical fitness measurement and checks and a sports industry job fair.

Forging Partnership Small and Medium Business Distribution Center
The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation announced on Feb. 11 that it signed a business agreement with the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center to expand sales of quarantine supplies produced by small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
The Small and Medium Business Distribution Center is the only general support organization for SMEs¡¯ sales and marketing in Korea and supports the expansion of excellent SME sales through online and offline projects.
The two organizations will open a quarantine goods mall to support quarantine and disinfection of private sports facilities scheduled for the first half of this year and cooperate to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by providing purchase points for quarantine supplies to private sports facilities.
Sports Industry Job Fair
The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation announced on Feb. 8 that it will hold the 2022 Sports Industry Job Fair from Feb. 17 to 19 with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The 2022 Sports Industry Job Fair will be held with the 2022 SPOEX, the world¡¯s top three exhibitions in the sports sector. More than 130 companies will participate in the job fair on and off line.
