Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon called for advanced outcomes of ongoing new businesses and continuing to explore new opportunities to realize the future of Hanwha.
In his New Year¡¯s message, Chairman Kim said, ¡°Let¡¯s make this year a year in which we¡¯re making a leap forward toward Hanwha¡¯s 100-year future by reflecting the passion and challenging spirit of the time of founding year.¡±
Chairman Kim, stressing that this is the 70th anniversary of the company¡¯s founding, said, ¡°The year 2022 will be an significant year in which our society is restoring to normal, departing from the sagging mood and make preparation for a new start.¡±
At this juncture, he called for the company to make a paradigm shift to establish a new future beyond the recovery of daily life.
Chairman Kim urged his executives and staffers to continue to ¡°make massive investments into promising technologies and new businesses that will take it to sustainable future.
In particular, he stressed faster decision-making and execution to secure an upper hand in markets and demonstrate technology leadership in new business areas.¡±

The Year of Iminnyeon has dawned. This year is a significant year in which Hanwha Group marks the 70th anniversary of its founding.
Let¡¯s make this year a year in which we¡¯re making a leap forward toward Hanwha¡¯s 100-year future by reflecting on the passion and challenging spirit of the time of our founding.
Last year saw uncertainties of the whole of society widen due to the protracting of the COVID-19 pandemic and other crises.
In spite of the hardships, Hanwha has managed to endure last year and secure a foundation for future growth thanks to our executives and staffers¡¯ dedicated efforts.
The year 2022 will be a significant one, in which our society makes preparations to make a new start, restoring daily life to normal, departing from the depressed atmosphere.
At this juncture, we at Hanwha are stepping on the gas to make a paradigm shift to design a new future beyond the recovery of daily life to normal.
Now is a time in which we have to challenge with a mission of making Hanwha¡¯s bright future and greater innovation.
To this end, we have to advance outcomes of ongoing new businesses and continue to explore new businesses to realize Hanwha¡¯s future.
We have to continue to make massive investments into promising technologies and new businesses that will take us to a sustainable future.
In particular, we have to make efforts to secure an upper hand in markets and demonstrate technology leadership with faster decision-making and powerful execution.
We should have conviction and purpose to make future businesses such as aerospace, green energy and digital financing core businesses in a short period of time.
Hanwha should strengthen market leadership in conventional mainstay businesses and continue to grow through endless innovation.

Construction and service units are asked to give more weight to the development of multi-purpose projects and premium businesses designed to max out synergetic effects with subsidiaries on top of the conventional business areas. We have to make our utmost to secure excellent manpower who will lead Hanwha for the next 100 years.
Competition to secure core manpower is getting hotter. We should make massive investments to recruit and cultivate excellent manpower capable of leading future businesses and overhauling the mold of the conventional businesses.
We have to build a flexible corporate culture in which excellent manpower can demonstrate their capabilities to their fullest extent and a rational personnel management regime. Top-tier manpower will ultimately make Hanwha a world-class company.
Lastly, we have to devote ourselves to fulfilling Hanwha¡¯s roles as a member of society.
