LX has joined forces with private, public sector and research circles, including Gochang County and Jeonbuk National University to set up the ¡°Youth Shared Growth Center¡± in Gochang.
LX signed an MOU on the establishment of the Youth Shared Growth Center in Gochang with nine entities at the Gochang County Office on June 2.
The establishment of the center is designed to solve youth population outflows, a pending core issue of the regional community. Public entities in Jeonbuk Innovative City had so far implemented social contribution projects individually.
The center has secured a combined 100 million won after it won the 3rd public entities¡¯ joint project contest, conducted by the Public Workers Solidarity Foundation.
The center plans to explore places, facing shutdowns, in the Gochang area in which the nation¡¯s second largest number of people are returning to the farming sector, but an increasing number of youth are leaving, creating opportunities to realize innovative ideas.
The center is located on the third floor of the main building of Jeonbuk National University Gochang Campus. It will educate and cultivate local creators working for local communities.
The six participating public entities are responsible for exploring innovative startup practices to boost youth and the Gochang area.
LX Senior Executive Vice President Kim Ki-seung said, ¡°I¡¯m pleased to have the Youth Shared Growth Center in Gochang, built by the private, public and government sectors, contribute to the regional development by conducting pump-priming projects.¡±
¡°We¡¯ll make every effort to help youth grow by providing support to youth so that they can make challenges and experiments they want,¡± Kim said.
