Toray Advanced Materials Korea (TAK) has developed color spunbond nonwoven fabric for hygiene masks for the first time in Korea.

With the production of pink and beige KF-94, 80 and droplet blockage masks with spunbond nonwoven fabric, consumers are given an opportunity to choose from a variety of colors of masks.

The colored spunbond nonwoven fabric, using pigments that do no harm to the human body, was realized by TAK¡¯s excellent spinning technology, each colored mask has passed safety standards, strengthened by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

Masks, which had so far been achromatic like white and black, have now expanded to include colored ones.

The greater choice for consumers will simultaneously boost hygiene and safety, and individuality via character and fashion.

TAK plans to expand the colors of its masks to yellow, ivory and green. Its release of the colored spunbond nonwoven fabric in Korea and exporting it abroad is expected to make its spunbond nonwoven fabric technology known internationally.

TAK plans to continuously raise hygiene and convenience, as the company produced wearable spunbond nonwoven fabric with less irritability by solving an issue inside the mask.

Starting as the first spunbond nonwoven provider in Korea, TAK has grown into the top company in the Asian market in terms of business size and competitiveness.

TAK was the first to supply SMS, SMMS and composite spunbond fiber in Asia, open up a new nonwoven fabric market, and build cooperation system for interaction and information exchange with customers.

High quality spunbond nonwoven LIVSEN, structured into advanced material that¡¯s light, soft and eco-friendly, is used for sanitation materials, medical, industrial and agricultural applications.

TAK has been working with Toray Japan for global expansion.

In 2006, TAK built Toray Polytech Nantong and with the largest single plant in Asia, TAK supplies the product to the Chinese and Asian markets.

In 2011, TAK opened Toray Polytech Jakarta (TPJ) in Indonesia and starting in 2013, TAK supplied high quality nonwoven fabrics to Indonesia and neighboring countries.

Combining our product development capability and experience with the advanced technology of Toray Japan, TAK has gained top-level competitiveness and world-class service.

TAK has built strong strategic partnership with key players in the Korean and global markets for new product development.

Vice President Kim Eun-joo of Toray Advanced Materials Korea(TAK) donated to the Gangseo Ward Office 20,000 masks and 2,000 anti-virus wet wipes on July 14, asking for them to be delivered to welfare facilities for the handicapped and low-income families in the district area.
