Earlier, Hana Financial Group decided to build Hana Dream Town in three stages in the Cheongna area of Incheon. The area focuses on fostering the financial, medical and bio-tech industries.
The group established the Integrated Data Center in 2017 in the first stage.
In 2019, it opened Hana Global Campus, an employee training facility as a second-stage project. It is planning to complete Hana Dream Town by building the headquarters building in the three stages.
There are already 1,800 IT workers at the Integrated Data Center and 200 on Hana Global Campus.
Along with Hana Dream Town, Hana Financial Group also decided to join the Cheongna Medical Complex Town Project, which will grow into a key hub for the global medical and bio-tech industries.
To this end, Hana Bank signed a business agreement on promoting joint projects for Cheongna Medical Complex Town at Asan Medical Center in Seoul on May 28.
Cheongna Medical Complex Town is a project to create general hospitals, the medical and bio-tech industries and academic and research facilities among others in Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu of Incheon.
Hana Bank and others have formed a consortium to build a medical complex town through a strong cooperative system among the industry, academia, research institutes and hospitals.
Hana Financial Group said that it successfully held the summer clothing donation campaign ¡°Kool Kool Closet¡± from June 28 to July 9, with a view to putting into practice ESG management including reducing carbon emissions through resources recycling.
The clothing donation campaign received all clothing regardless of seasons or ages and checked their quality and donated usable pieces of the clothing to vulnerable groups at home and abroad.
Through the Spring Closet Campaign in March, Hana Financial Group donated more than 2,000 pieces of clothing to single mother welfare centers, facilities for the disabled and the marginalized in Indonesia.
Summer clothes collected through the Kool Kool Closet Campaign went to the homeless in Korea and marginalized people in Southeast Asia. Hana Financial Group also gave KF94 face masks to the homeless in Korea.
In particular, not only Hana Financial Group employees but Hana customers could participate in the Kool Kool Closet Campaign this year.
An event was held to provide food and beverage coupons to customers who post photos of their participation in the clothing donation campaign on Hana Financial Group SNS channels (Instagram and Facebook).
¡°We will pick up our effort to actively implement ESG management by spearheading a campaign to donate old clothes every quarter in that we can help the marginalized, reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment,¡± said an official of the ESG Planning Team at Hana Financial Group.
In the meantime, Hana Financial Group has been carrying out the Hana Green Step 5 Campaign throughout the year with the goal of sincerely putting ESG management into practice.
At the same time, the group conducts a wide array of meaningful activities for the environment and society every month.
