Will hold the Healthy Summer Event to help the marginalized stay healthy, even in the hot summer

Woori Bank will join hands with the Korea Patent Attorneys Association in order to support innovation-powered companies with intellectual property rights.
Woori Bank announced on May 26 that it signed a business agreement with the Korea Patent Attorneys Association, with the goal of discovering and fostering innovative companies with intellectual property, for the first time in the banking sector.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both companies, including Kwon Kwang-seok, president of Woori Bank and Hong Jang-won, chairman of the Korea Patent Attorneys Association.
The two organizations decided to actively cooperate to discover and foster new innovative companies that have excellent intellectual property, such as patent rights, model utility rights and design rights.
Woori Bank plans to provide financial support to companies that have difficulty securing operating funds, despite having excellent intellectual property rights, by cooperating with the Korea Technology Finance Corporation. The Korea Patent Attorneys Association will recommend companies to Woori Bank.
In addition to direct investment in companies with excellent IP, the two will cooperate to provide financial support to companies applying for the registration of intellectual property rights abroad in the future.
¡°Through this agreement, we will provide competitive financial services by creating synergies out of convergence between Woori Bank and The Korea Patent Attorneys Association, including discovering, fostering and investing in companies with excellent intellectual property rights and even giving financial support to them.¡±
Healthy Summer Event for Marginalized People
Woori Bank announced on June 10 that the bank will hold the Healthy Summer Event in local communities ahead of the upcoming hot summer to help the marginalized spend the season healthily.
Woori Bank employees donated some of their salaries to the Woori Love Fund. The fund has been used to support various welfare projects every year through social welfare facilities across the country since 2009.
This year, Woori Bank will donate 100 million won to 15 social welfare facilities by finding and evaluating them carrying out at least one of three projects along with the Green Umbrella Children¡¯s Foundation.
The three projects are the Study Promotion Project, the Food/Health Improvement Project and Eco-Friendly/Environmental Protection Project.
In addition, the organization evaluated to conduct the best project will receive KF94 masks worth a total of five million won, summer insect repellents, portable electric fans and various foods.
¡°It is meaningful to be able to support underprivileged people for their healthy summer by collecting heartwarming donations from Woori Bank employees every year,¡± said Kwon Kwang-seok, president of Woori Bank. ¡°We will continue to take the lead in creating a happy sustainable society together.¡±
Woori Bank is carrying out social contribution projects such as Good Shops in Our Town for self-employed people and small business owners and ¡°Woori Take Care of the Environment¡± to encourage employees to participate in environmental protection. The bank said that it will continue to carry out various activities to practice ESG management.
Launch of Special Service for Salaried Workers
Woori Bank announced on June 3 that it has launched an initiative for Salaried Workers to provide specialized financial services for workers through the Woori WON Banking Service.
The Special Service for Salaried Workers enables them to check their various personal financial data provided by Woori Bank at a glance.
The data include monthly deposits and withdrawals, records of salary transfers to Woori Bank accounts and the exemption of financial service fees and commissions.
Through the service, salaried workers are able to learn how to manage their assets, how to use real estate auctions and how to receive pensions under better conditions.
In particular, customers who receive their salaries through their Woori Bank accounts will be able to receive up to two million points that can be used like money, Starbucks mobile coffee coupons, GS25 Convenience Store and Baemin mobile gift certificates through a monthly lottery.
