Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KORAD) has recently opened a website to transfer technologies related to radwaste management, possessed by KORAD, to the private sector for free.
The technologies KORAD is transferring are 10 radwaste technologies, such as those related to spent nuclear fuel transportation, metal and concrete containers for storage, and low- and intermediate-level radwaste reception, treatment and disposal.
KORAD has been transferring its own major radwaste management technologies free of charge since 2016 to boost the radwaste management industry.
Starting this year, KORAD is transferring its own technologies via a website, which opened on May 26, a departure from the previous year¡¯s contact due to the spread of the pandemic.
The website for transferring KORAD¡¯s technologies comprises of its own technologies, technology trends, on-line technology support, a customers¡¯ center and real-time counseling/chatbot.
KORAD expects companies to look at its own technologies and take over them via the on-line technology support.
