President Kim says he would prioritize technology-oriented management by securing an energy ICT leadership through the development of future core technologies and implementing ¡®KDN-type Digital New Deal¡¯ policies

Kim Jang-hyun, head of the ICT Business Division at KEPCO KDN, took office as new president of KEPCO KDN on April 26. His appointment as new KEPCO KDN president was approved during an extraordinary shareholders¡¯ meeting on April 16.
President Kim, born in 1958, graduated from Chung-Ang University. He entered Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) and held major KEPCO positions, such as chief of Seoincheon Branch Office and head of the ICT Infrastructure Division.
Kim is evaluated to be a seasoned power ICT expert armed with leadership and technology expertise as he was honored with the minister of trade, industry and energy¡¯s award in recognition for his contribution to the development of the ICT services of the power industry.
As he served as head of the ICT Business Division at KEPCO KDN, Kim had been credited with promoting public conveniences and prioritizing sustainable management by leading new industry businesses using technologies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution such as big data, Iot and AI.
In his inaugural speech, President Kim said, he will focus on value management designed to honor customers¡¯ values and realize corporate social values.
Stressing that staffers¡¯ personal growth is the key to organization growth, he said, KEPCO KDN will provide support to offer a stage and opportunities to nurture individuals¡¯ personal capabilities.
Kim said he will be the CEO to prioritize technology-oriented management by securing an energy ICT leadership through the development of future core technologies and implementing ¡°KDN-type Digital New Deal¡± policies.
He said KEPCO KDN would be a reliable public entity by putting into practice mature labor-management relations in which labor and management mutually honor each other¡¯s values and ethics management on top of the settlement of a corporate culture based on fairness and communications.
Kim also urged his executives and staffers to make KEPCO KDN a global energy ICT leader with sustainable growth and balanced public and corporate interests.
