The corporation aims to lead the future transportation paradigm and offer safe and sustainable public transportation services.

KEC has announced key projects to materialize the corporation¡¯s plan to become a top-flight mobility service corporation.
KEC plans to step on the gas to build a nationwide cooperative-intelligent transport system (C-ITS) C-ITS is one of the government¡¯s top 10 Korean New Deal projects.
C-ITS is a system that provides accident-related information such as traffic conditions, sudden stop, and fallen objects to the driver in real time.
KEC plans to expand C-ITS to the whole 4,075 km-long expressway network by 2025. The move is designed to change expressway networks into digital-based ones.
Korea plans to build a big data distribution system in the traffic sector to make preparations for the launch of a big data economy era, and establish an advanced transportation operation regime in which everyone can utilize traffic data with ease.
KEC, in cooperation with related ministries, plans to implement underground road network projects in urban areas to meet rising demand. Multi-purpose transfer centers will be developed to connect subways, buses and other traffic means.
KEC plans to aggressively participate in new projects related to vertical take-off and landing to correspond to urban air mobility and other new markets. KEC also plans to develop a logistics center city in the southern sphere using expressway networks, KEC¡¯s core assets.
KEC plans to implement smart logistics businesses, such as the development of logistics facilities in Giheung Interchange to meet rising logistics demand in the non-face-to-face era.
KEC plans to aggressively implement overseas projects using its core capabilities, such as road maintenance and construction supervision and provide support to Korean SMEs¡¯ overseas market entry.
A company official said KEC, which has enhanced land utilization efficiency and bridged humanity, culture and regions, will devote itself to creating a sustainable management environment.
The corporation will strive to realize the new vision of building a nationwide C-ITS network, reducing traffic death rate to the levels of top five OECD countries and operating overseas roads, standing at 1,000 km in length, the official added.
