¡°ON AIR-The Secret Contract,¡± which will be televised exclusively by LG Uplus.
LG Uplus will exclusively televise a new sitcom, dubbed ¡°ON AIR – The Secret Contract.¡± The show is being produced jointly by LG Uplus and the musical production company Shinwave.
It is a hybrid version of a show that combines elements of a sitcom and a radio show into a theater performance.
The live show will run from March 20 to April 18 at Kwanglim Arts Center in Seoul. It portrays DJ Aaron, an arrogant top idol, and writer Shin Woo Ri, who knows his secret.
Popular idols such as Super Junior Ryeowook, Sandara Park, Lee Jin Hyuk, Bigtone Kang Seungsik, and Golden Child Hong Joochan will appear.
It is an interactive show in which the cast members will take comments from fans in real time and directly communicate with both online and offline audiences.
Each show will be a different episode with a different story, and surprise guests will make appearances to deliver special live performances. Producing director (PD) Yoo Sung Mo of ¡°SNL Korea¡± will be participating in the directing the project.
LG Uplus expects the show to earn revenues in the content business through its live streaming abroad and through VOD and OST/DVD sales.
The company plans to secure content works suiting differentiated services and platforms through tie-ups and investments with prominent production companies down the road.
LG Uplus said it plans to produce content in an efficient and effective fashion and explore diverse profit models.

Three More Companies Join Global XR Content Telco Alliance
The global 5G content group ¡°Global XR Content Telco Alliance,¡± led by LG Uplus, is poised to evolve into the world¡¯s first and biggest content league.
Verizon of the United States, Orange of France and mobile business group Chunghwa Telecom of Taiwan joined the alliance, LG Uplus said on March 10. That brought its membership to 10.
Global XR Content Telco Alliance made its debut last September.
LG Uplus serves as the first facilitator of the alliance. Other participants of the alliance include Qualcomm Technologies, a U.S. semiconductor company, Bell Canada, KDDI, and China Telecom as well as Canada's Felix & Paul Studios and Atlas V, a French VR company.
The standing of the alliance improves with the addition of each region¡¯s biggest telecom service provider.
The Telco Alliance plans to initiate the planning of a second project. It is considering what comes next among the global prominent performance, fairy tale and animation categories.
The alliance holds regular meetings to produce and offer content. If member companies opt for progressing investments and decide content to secure pre-licensing, the alliance begins to initiate a project.
¡°Space Explorers: The ISS Experience,¡± is the alliance¡¯s first series chronicling the lives of astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Episode 2 of the series will be released globally in March.
Filming on episodes three and four began and they will be released this year sequentially.
