Korea Land and Geospatial Information Corp. (LX) will redouble efforts to build and spread a digital twin standard model and lay the legal and institutional groundwork to expand the geospatial information market.
LX President Kim Jung-ryul made the remarks while delivering his New Year¡¯s message at a ceremony to kick off the 2021 business year at LX headquarters in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, on Jan. 4.
¡°The year 2021 will be a year in which LX will take a quantum jump to finish the Korean New Deal,¡± he said. To this end, he said, LX will focus on building and spreading digital twin and laying legal and institutional groundwork to expand the geospatial information market.
Looking back at last year, despite the sagging economy caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, he said LX efforts to normalize its management had paid off.
Thanks to these efforts, LX had managed to secure conditions to spread a digital twin standard model and lay the legal ground for an institution specializing to build and support underground space and legal groundwork for a responsible enforcement institution for making a cadastral resurvey.
Through these steps, he said LX will have to spearhead innovative growth of geospatial information, provide geospatial information services related to people¡¯s safety and lead efforts to realize social values.
LX will focus on environmental and organizational changes so that works can be done based on flexile systems and processes to cope with changes such as digital transformation. He urged his executives and staff members to focus on changes rather than settling for status quo.
President Kim stressed the need to simplify meetings and work processes, as well as communication and collaboration. He urged his executives and staff members to refrain from long meetings and to not write reports without focal points, while communicating with the central government and local autonomous bodies and promoting in-house collaboration.
He called for them to join efforts to better LX by lending an ear to the outside voices such as public complaints and the press reports and parliamentary checks.
President Kim said, ¡°The spreading standard models of the Digital New Deal, pushing for expanded cadastral resurvey and provision of public services based on LX¡¯s geospatial information platform will be the tasks on which our future will hinge.¡±
He asked for making this year a monumental year in which LX will concentrate its all capabilities to reap bounties of crops in the course of implementing planned projects.
Only a few executives and staff members were allowed to participate in the ceremony in accordance with social distancing guidelines to prevent the spread of the pandemic, and it was streamed in real time online.
