The online public asset auction ¡°OnBid¡± ( www.onbid.co.kr), operated by Korea Asset Management Corp., has opened six O2O ¡°OnBid Centers¡± in six major areas, including Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Daegu, and Jeollabuk-do.
OnBid Centers have been opened based on the network of KAMCO¡¯s regional headquarters to provide integrated services such as consultations and information search so customers who are not accustomed to an online environment can participate in OnBid actions in an easily and comfortable fashion.
Onbid Centers offer guidance on how to use the OnBid system, and counseling services such as membership application, asset search and auction participation. They will operate a pilot auction system in which customers can experience all processes ranging from disposing of assets to auctioning, as if they participate in reality.
KAMCO plans to introduce a ¡°360 degree VR Content¡± service so that customers can check assets, put up for sale, in online virtual space in three different directions without touring sites.

Namgung Young, head of KAMCO¡¯s Public Development Division, said, ¡°KAMCO has introduced O2O OnBid Center and innovative services so that any customer can use the OnBid system in an easily and convenient fashion.¡± KAMCO will reinvent OnBid services like provision of video information on assets put for sale down the road, he added.

KAMCO Officials Participate in Volunteer Activity Sharing ¡®Bread of Love¡¯
About 30 KAMCO officials were engaged in a volunteer activity by sharing ¡°bread of love¡± and side dishes to help poor children and the elderly who reside alone.
The volunteer activity was conducted between Oct. 14 and Oct. 15 in cooperation with the Busan chapter of the Korean Red Cross and a local welfare center.
KAMCO officials have conducted such volunteer activities on two or more occasions every month since 2011. About 300 KAMCO officials have participated in such volunteer activities so far this year.
Meanwhile, KAMCO donated 100,000 face masks to the Buk-gu Ware Office of the Buan Metropolitan City government, demanding that they will be supplied to residents in the Mandeok-dong area in Busan as a precaution measure against Covid-19 pandemic. The donated masks will be distributed to senior citizens and households with one parent and marginalized self-employed business owners susceptible to being caught with the coronavirus.
Shin Heung-shik, head of KAMCO¡¯s management division, said, ¡°KAMCO executives and staff members¡¯ volunteer activities of sharing is hoped to help neighbors who struggle with the protracted Covid-19 pandemic.¡± KAMCO will continue to conduct sharing activities in the local community by spearheading the realization of social values, he added.
