President Lim suggests three future business models at his 13th anniversary speech

Shinhan Card, celebrating the 13th anniversary, has come up with a big picture idea of evolving into a life & finance platform.


Delivering a speech at an online anniversary event on Sept. 28, Shinhan Card President Lim Young-jin said Shinhan Card has established the vision of making a leap forward to become a life & finance platform.


To achieve the vision, President Lim said his card company has fleshed out three future business models: ¡°individual financial platform,¡± ¡°comprehensive life platform based on my data,¡± and ¡°self-employed financial platform.¡±


Shinhan Card aims to evolve into a life and finance company by offering optimal goods information services customers want to find via a greater data frame surpassing the conventional card business and finance.


¡°Individual financial platform¡± refers to personal expenditure and financial management designed to realize all financial services, ranging from settlements to financial products and asset management.


¡°Comprehensive life platform based on my data¡± refers to a New Discovery Platform businesses designed to offer services tailored to meet individuals¡¯ personal life styles based on data, as well as non-financial benefits.


Currently, Shinhan Card offers ¡°All That Services¡± related to travel, culture and weddings.


Shinhan Card has ramped up non-financial services as the card company entered an educational service market by signing an MOU with Supaza and Edubase on Sept. 21.


Self-employed financial platform refers to an ¡°Amazing Business Financial Management¡± (BFM) designed to comprehensively manage and support the operation and financing of chain membership outlets.


President Lim suggested his card company¡¯s keywords ¡°13ecoming,¡± to stress endless changes (¡°becoming¡±) to achieve a dream and three challenges, departing from the maintaining (¡°being¡±) of the conventional growth paradigm.

Shinhan Card has also launched a new journey toward a premium brand by building a brand regime corresponding to a future business vision and a brand value evaluation regime to manage it.


President Lim said, ¡°True expedition is to look with a new insight, not finding new landscapes.¡± Lim called for his executives and staff members to evolve with an insight into the trends of the times and essentials.
