Daewoo E&C has won the 2020 H1 Hankyung Housing Culture Grand Prix for the implementation of the “Hwaseo Station Prugio Briciel” Apartment Complex in Jeongja-dong, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do.

The apartment complex has been appreciated for better transportation, educational and other conditions, on top of specialized design with abundant green space.

The project calls for constructing three apartment buildings for 665 households and two “officetel” buildings for 460 households.

They will have a combined 1,125 households. Each apartment building will be a multipurpose structure with tree basement floors and 41 ground floors.

Apartment units range from 84 sq. meters to 189 sq. meters in exclusive floor space.

The apartment complex site, named “Daeyupyeong District 2nd Block is on the former site of KT&G’s tobacco production plant.

The block consists of a multi-purpose housing-office zone, a multipurpose office-commerce zone, and an urban park zone.

Residents of the apartment complex will have easy access to Hwaseok Station of the subway No. 1 line and the soon-to-be Shinbundang Line.

It is located near Suwon Station, a transfer station for the KTX line and Bundang Line, as well as the Seosuwon Intercity Bus Terminal. They can use motorways such as the Gwacheon-Bongdam Highway and the Suwon-Gwangmyeong Expressway.

Suwon Station, part of the Suin Railroad Line connecting Suwon and Incheon, will be opened in August. A Great Train Express (GTX)-C line, linking Gangnam, Seoul, and Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, gets under way.

The apartment complex has better educational conditions. It has Songlim Primary School, Myengin Middle School and Jangan High School.

It is located near a zone of prestigious private educational institutions. It has many nearby convenience and shopping facilities, including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart and AK Plaza.

Hwaseo Station Prugio Briciel Apartment Complex will be surrounded by an urban park zone, so residents can enjoy abundant green space. Community plazas, theme rest areas and children’s playgrounds will be set up in the interests of residents.

“Hwaseo Station Prugio Briciel Apartment Complex, to be built in the Daeyupyeong District in Suwon, has a balance of better transportation, educational conditions and green space, he said.

It will be outfitted with Daewoo E&C’s in-house smart home platform “Purugio Smart Home” and “greenery lounges” and diverse other community facilities, President Kim said.

President Kim said Hwaseo Station Prugio Briciel Apartment Complex has enhanced the dignity of an apartment building by introducing “Green Premium,” a housing product for eco-friendliness and new/renewal energies, and “My Premium,” designed to help occupants choose housing and interior types.

Green Premium and My Premium are byproducts of President Kim’s efforts to lend an ear to the voices of the scene.

President Kim said the brand Prugio underwent a renewal last year. At that time, he said the brand has transformed its products and services except the brand itself to reflect innovation.

Daewoo E&CD plans to supply housing products corresponding to the changes of the trends down the road, he added.
