SK E&C and Towoo Construction Co. strikes 260 billion agreement on project with Chungcheongbuk-do and Jincheon County
Jincheon County Mayor Song Ki-sup, Chungcheongbuk-do Govl Lee Si-jong, SK E&C President Lim Young-mun, and Towoo Construction President Kim Sa-seok hold a certificate of a 260 billion deal they signed to build “Jincheon Mega Polis Industrial Complex” in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do at a signing ceremony held at the provincial government building on June 10.
SK E&C and Towoo Construction Co. have signed a 260 billion deal with Chungcheongbuk-do and Jincheon County to build “Jincheon Mega Polis Industrial Complex” in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do.
Among those on hand at a signing ceremony held at Chungcheongbuk-do provincial government building in Cheongju on June 10 were SK E&C President Lim Young-mun, Towoo Construction President Kim Sa-seok, Chungcheongbuk-do Gov. Lee Si-jong, and Jincheon County Mayor Song Gi-sub.
SK E&C and Towoo Construction Co. agreed to expand investments and implement the project as well as to make efforts to reinvigorate the regional economy by purchasing locally produced raw materials and equipment and prioritizing the employment of local residents. Chungcheongbuk-do and Jincheon County will provide administrative support to smooth the establishment of a new industrial complex.
The project calls for SK E&C and Towoo Construction Co. to construct the Jincheon Mega Polis Industrial Complex in the Munbaekmyeon area covering 1.39 million sq. meters (about 420,000 pyeong), The industrial complex is to be dedicated by 2026. Jungbu Expressway and national road No. 17 pass by the industrial complex, a 20 minute ride distance from Cheongju International Airport.
SK E&C has successfully carried off industrial complex projects in Korea.
One of the contractor’s representative industrial complex projects is Chungju Mega Polis Industrial Complex, dedicated in 2016. The industrial complex was built at the Judeok-eup era in Chungju covering 1.81 million sq. meters. It was done via a public-private partnership at a cost of 251 billion won.
SK E&C President Lim said, “We’ve taken a first step to carry off the project to construct the Jincheon Mega Polis Industrial Complex.”
SK E&C will successfully implement this project by making the most of experiences and capabilities with which the contractor has successfully implemented several industrial complex projects, he added.

Jincheon Signs Deal to Expand Taeheung General Industrial Complex
Jincheon County plans to expand the existing Taeheung General Industrial Complex. Jincheon Country struck a deal with Daewoo Precision Industries and two others to invest into the project to expand Taeheung General Industrial Complex.
Jincheon County Mayor Song and representative of the three companies discussed ways of developing the industrial complex and promoting shared growth at a signing ceremony at the county office on June 16.
The Taeheung General Industrial Complex was established at the Munbaekmyeon area covering 36,000 sq. meters. The industrial complex is to be expanded to 96,000 sq. meters at a cost of 17.5 billion won.
