Dongwon F&B, boasting fishery expertise it has accumulated over the years, has released three kinds of “Fishery Easy Cook KIT” foods using whelk, common Asian clam, and snails as the main ingredients.

Fishery Easy Cook KIT products are home meal replacements, made by Dongwon F&B to deliver tastes and texture of marine products. Last July, Dong F&B, the nation’s No. 1 marine food maker, launched the brand “Fishery Easy Cook KIT” to tap the fishery HMR market.

The Fishery Easy Cook KIT products got a good reception from customers. They were given high marks for being able to be stored at room temperatures, as well as having a variety of ingredients and seasoning materials they can be cooked with.

“Whelk Cold Raw Fish Soup Recipe” is a good fit for summer as the product, made with whelk and a cold dongchimi (radish water kimchi) can be cooked with konnyaku and special seasonings.

“Baekhap (common Oriental clam) Daenjang (Bean Paste) Stew” tastes good and cool as it can be made with a variety of vegetables, refreshing clam flesh and bean paste. “Snail Gangdaenjang” (Bean Paste) is made with snails, tofu and bean taste, making it a good pairing with rice.

The Fishery Easy Cook KIT products taste the real texture of the marine products since they are made by a high-temperature treatment technology. Diverse recipes can be enjoyed by adding to the Fishery Easy Cook KIT products onions, cucumbers or peppers.

Of late, amidst the rising contact-less consumption trend, an increasing number of consumers have turned to HMRs, according to a Dongwon F&B official. Dongwon F&B plans to continue to strengthen its line-up with the release of new products with the goal of establishing the food maker as the nation’s representative HMR brand.

The Fishery Easy Cook KIT products can be purchased at large markets, department stores and convenience stores. “Whelk Cold Raw Fish Soup Recipe” is priced at 6,980 won for 500 grams (two persons), while “Baekhap Daenjang Stew fetches 5,980 won for 350 grams (two persons. Snail Gangdaenjang is marketed for 5,980 won for 262 grams (two persons).

Dongwon F&B Releases ‘Richam Minions’ 

 Dongwon F&B, which released “Pengsoo Tuna” in cooperation with the popular animation character brand “Pengsoo,” has teamed up with “Minions," a U.S. animation film franchise, this time to put on the market four kinds of “Richam Minions,” a canned ham product released by the food maker.

The Richam Minions products became the first foods under the brand Richam to be packaged with drawings of the animation character.

Richam canned ham products boast delicious ham with less salt than normal ham, fresh onions for a clean taste. They are made with shoulder ham with evenly-distributed marbling so it is juicy and savory.

A Dongwon F&B said of late, Dongwon F&B is trying to come closer to customers via diverse marketing activities using hit characters like Minions, Pengsoo, and Pororo the Little Penguin.
