KOMAF & MachineSoft 2019, the fifth rendition of fair, is a combination of KOMAF 2019, Korea’s representative machinery exhibition with history of 42 years and MachineSoft 2019, the nation’s IT fair specializing in leading 5G, AI and other advanced digital technologies.

KOMAF 2019, which has been growing with the Korean manufacturing industries as the nation’s first industry fair, has established itself as an exhibition to introduce state-of-the-art automation systems and intelligent machinery equipment.

Spectators will be given an opportunity to look at collaborative robots (“cobots”), produced by Doosan Robotics and Hyundai Robotics, the latest cars adopting self-driving mobility technology, produced by Kia Motors, smart construction machines, made by Doosan Infracore, and other advanced machineries and equipment corresponding to a super intelligent and super connected era.

MachineSoft 2019 is a software fair, designed to promote digital innovation. The fair will showcase a wide range of manufacturing IT service technologies such as AI, 5G, big data, cloud and digital twin solutions. 5G based, advanced smart factory models, to be displayed by Qualcomm and KT, will be the subject of keen attention among Korean and foreign spectators.

In particular, the latest exhibition is taking place as Korea is accelerating efforts to overcome a crisis, caused by Japan’s imposing of export curbs on Korea.

It will coincide with a special exhibition to display homegrown raw materials, parts and equipment in the wake of Korean government’s policies to localize them to reduce its dependence on Japanese imports. The special exhibition is designed to accelerate self-sufficiency and publicize major homegrown raw materials, parts and equipment with an competitive edge.

The global super premium technology conference, MachineSoft Forum, will take place with the goal of helping the public and private sectors cope with a crisis amid the general public concern and promoting the morale of the Korean manufacturing industry and look at the present and the future of the 4th Industrial Revolution along with society.

SKT, KT, Samsung SDS, POSCO and Korean ICT companies as well as Amazon, Qualcomm, Intel, IBM, Siemens, Oracle and other global IT players are expected to share diverse digital innovation strategies related to technologies such as AI and 5G.

KOMAF & MachineSoft 2019 is the first Korean industry fair to undergo digital innovation on its own to raise satisfaction of exhibitors and spectators. An app specializing in the exhibition will allow “digital matching” in which exhibitors and buyers are connected digitally to share brief information on the scene.

Each exhibitor will be enabled to manage buyers systematically by evaluating buyers on its own, and a lottery with premium giveaways such as latest cloth dryers, mobile vacuums, dish washers and superlight notebooks will be offered to solicit buyers’ active participation.

The “O2O Fair” app for KOMAF & MachineSoft 2019 is designed to book meetings with buyers in advance and support post-fair online marketing activities so that would-be buyers can be explored and a buyer-friendly fair can be realized.

KOMAF & MachineSoft 2019 will hold side events such as an awards ceremony for companies who have contributed to the development of capital goods, and a one-on-one export consultation session with invited foreign buyers.

KOMAF & MachineSoft 2019 will showcase the future of digital innovation through mutual connection and convergence between manufacturing industry and IT, like Hannover Messe of Germany, thus raising Korea’s stranding as a manufacturing and IT powerhouse.
