Dong-A Pharmaceutical has released Gum Guard toothpaste, which it says is ¡°proven to be effective for treating tooth pain and preventing gum diseases.¡±
The Gum Guard toothpaste is a kind of hybrid product considered to be efficacious in treating more than two things - treating tooth pain and preventing gun disease such as gingivitis and periodontitis.
The newly released toothpaste does not have eight substances, including Sodium Polyoxyethylene Laurylether Sulfate (SLS), parabens and triclosan, in consideration of consumers sensitive thoe ingredients. The Gum Guard toothpaste, categorized as non-medicine, can be purchased over-the-counter at drugstores.
Dong-A Pharmaceutical¡¯s release of Gum Guard has strengthened the lineup of the brand Gum Guard.
In 2016, the pharmaceutical company put on the market the gum disease and mouthwash ¡°Gum Garlrin Gum Guard.¡±
Dong-A Pharmaceutical expanded the lineup of the brand by adding ¡°Gum Guard Toothbrush for Treating Gum Diseases,¡± Gum Guard Interdentium Toothbrush for Treating Gum Diseases,¡± and ¡°Gum Guard Dental Floss.¡±
A Dong-A Pharmaceutical official said the Gum Guard toothpaste is recommended for those who suffer from tooth pain and want to prevent gum disease.
The Gum Guard toothpaste is effective in preventing gum diseases while brushing their teeth, he added.

Jordan Korea Releases ¡®Jordan Step,¡¯ Toothpaste for Children
Dong-A Pharmaceutical¡¯s business partner Jordan Step has released ¡°Jordan Step,¡± a toothpaste for children.
Released onto the market are Jordan Step 1 with strawberry taste and Jordan Step 2 with grape taste. Jordan Step 1 is recommended for children aged 5 or under, who can spit out toothpaste containing fluorine of 500ppm after brushing their teeth. Jordan Step 2 is recommended for children aged 6 or more since it contains fluorine of 1,000ppm.
The two toothpastes for children do not contain SLS.
The latest toothpastes for children are available at discount sales outlets, drugstores and via online shopping channels.
