Daewoo E&C made a number of changes in the Prugio brand of apartments, starting with the style of the letters and colors, which the company said were done to go along with the flow of the changes in the country, including the philosophy in the construction industry.
The company unveiled the new brand name Prugio on March 28, with the announcement that the Isu Prugio Platinum Complex, which is set to be presold from April, will be the first apartment complex to bear the newly designed brand name.
The Natural Nobility is the company’s new philosophy for the newly updated brand name with the brand image for the Prugio apartment complexes being “a natural phenomenon dancing in a soft breeze,” the company said.
They changed the color for the new brand image to make it look like a more natural “British green” with a hint of luxury, but with the beauty of being thrifty and generous, the company said.
With the change in the brand philosophy, the company will build its apartment complexes in four different Premium groups each with different ideals such as “Be Unique,” “Be Right,” “Be Gentle” and “Be Smart.” The officials said everything except the brand name has been changed to reflect the overall changes and reform in the company’s products and services in the days ahead.
Daewoo E&C has been at work to bring the construction of the apartments for the age of the 4th Industrial Revolution as early as possible in cooperation with the ICT companies. They include employing speakers that can supplement the IoT functions and at the end use it to remove the fine dusts. They will use IoT related technologies to check the air around the house and circulate the air automatically if it is unclean.
The company will see that all of its apartments will be equipped with high-tech air cleansing systems, starting with the premium brand, the Prugio Summit.
The construction firm unveiled the Cheolsan Central Prugio, a “Smart” brand of premium apartments, equipped with AI technology that has voice recognition and IoT technologies so that the Home IoT can be used to manipulate speakers.
The builder already presold the Susong Lake Prugio Apt. Complex that the company built in Susong District in Daegu, with two underground floors and 49-storeys. The complex has 500 apartment units in the two residential structures and one with residential-type officetels.
The apartments range from 109 square meters (246 units) to 84 square meters (82 units) in size with four penthouses to total 332 units. In addition, the complex has 168 units of residential officetels as large as 84 square meters. The complex is scheduled for moving in from August 2022.
Daewoo E&C has now been looking to boost its share in the apartment presale market in the Honam area of the country now that its position as the absolute power in the real estate markets around the country has been firmly established.
Industry sources confirmed recently that the construction company signed contracts with the suppliers to build some 1,140 apartment large units in Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province, for presale in June.
The company’s apartment construction projects have been lax in the Honam area while it’s been doing its share as the leader in the residential building sectors in such key areas as Seoul, and the capital area, the Chungcheong area and the Yeongnam area.
In fact, the company’s activity in the area ceased since the 2008 foreign exchange crisis after supplying 550 apartment units in Mokpo and 471 units in Gwangju before the crisis. But the company resumed its activity in 2015 by building the Ocean City Prugio Complex with 550 apartment units in Gunsan followed by the Oryung Edufore Prugio Complex with 1,531 apartment units in 2017 in Muan County.
The company is looking to build more apartment complexes in the area including one in Gwangyang with 1,040 apartment units.
