Hyundai Mobis Booth at Seoul Motor Show Opportunity For Hands-On Experience on Future Cars
Showcases future car technologies at upcoming exhibition at a 504 square-meter booth, the largest among Korean automotive parts makers

The Seoul Motor Show 2019, to be open for a 10-day run at KINTEX in Goyang, north of Seoul, on March 29, will serve as an opportunity to get a glimpse into what future cars will look like.
Hyundai Mobis will showcase future car technologies at the upcoming exhibition in a 504 square-meter booth, the largest among Korean automotive parts makers. The theme of the Hyundai Mobis initiative is ¡°Spotlight on Future of Mobility.¡±
Spectators at the pavilion are given the chance to look at and experience diverse demonstrations of self-driving, connected, eco-friendly core automotive parts on display.
Hyundai Mobis will showcase self-driving infotainment systems in which spectators can experience convenient functions inside future self-driving cars such as virtual space touch and windshield displays. Also on display are a concept car carrying out self-driving while communicating with the outside through diverse lighting technologies, a power generation system using a fuel cell battery.
Hyundai Mobis will unveil core automotive parts under mass production or having been already developed, which include Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) and Advanced Adaptive Driving Beam (AADB).
Hyundai Mobis to Plow 5.5 Billion Won into DeepGlint
Hyundai Mobis is accelerating efforts to build an open collaboration regime through strategic investments to ramp up competitiveness in the self-driving sector. The company said on March 13 it plans to invest 5.5 billion won in DeepGlint, a Chinese startup with AI-enabled technology in object recognition.
The move may be construed as a step by Hyundai Mobis to flesh out plans to invest in future technologies.
Hyudai Mobis convened a board of directors meeting in February and worked out a plan to funnel 4 trillion won in the next three years to ramp up technology competitiveness in the future automobile field.
Hyundai Mobis¡¯s move for future car development is expected to be spurred as Hyundai Motor Group Executive Vice Chairman Chung Eui-sun is to take office as CEO of Hyundai Mobis at its shareholders¡¯ meeting slated for March 23.
DeepGlint is one of Chinese startups specializing in image recognition technologies using AI. The company owns proprietary technologies to analyze face, body, behavior image patterns. In particular, DeepGlint¡¯s facial recognition system is evaluated to be quick and precise in recognizing one out of 1 billion people at a distance of 50 meters within one minute.
Hyundai Mobis¡¯s latest equity investment is designed to secure technologies on movement recognition and pattern analysis inside the car.
