Asiana Airlines came on top in the 2018 Customer Satisfaction Survey for the aviation sector, according to the KMAC Consulting Team.
The airline has been doing its best to lead the global aviation market, focusing on customer satisfaction management based on top safety and service. The air carrier, in its 30 anniversary this year - not completely satisfied with the honor - is in the middle of clinching a new growth engine to make another jump in its operation.
The airline has 11 domestic routes serving 10 cities, 77 international routes serving 64 cities in 22 countries, and 21 cargo flight routes for 25 cities in 11 countries.
Asiana Airlines operates chartered flights to popular resort cities such as Hakodate, Japan, Phu Quoc, Vietnam and Oslo, Norway, in a move to expand its regular flight routes. Asiana Airlines recently launched new flights from its base in Seoul Incheon to Barcelona Airport.
From May this year, the airline launched its maiden flight to Venetia, Italy under its plan to continuously open new mid- to long-range air routes around the world.

The first flight to Spain, which landed o Aug. 30, was also celebrated in Barcelona Airport. A custom cake was made, as well as small biscuits that showed the Asiana Airlines company name and logo.
The airline has also been modernizing its fleet with the latest models. It started the operation of the six A350s serving such air routes as Seoul-Hanoi, Seoul-San Francisco, and Seoul-London with New York to be added soon to its int¡¯l flight schedules.
The air carrier also relocated its passenger boarding services counters and lounges to the eastern sector of the Incheon Int¡¯l Airport on Oct. 1 to improve the passenger service under its Customer Service Renewal Plan.
The special Premium Checking Zone was set up at the new passenger service counters for the frequent flyers and special passengers with glass walls dividing the lounge with other lounges. The firs-class passengers have their own check-in counter.
Asiana Airlines Fleet: 79 aircraft + 4 On Order
Asiana Airlines has its headquarters in Seoul with a domestic hub at Gimpo Airport and an international hub at Incheon International Airport, a short distance from central Seoul. It is a member of the Star Alliance and Asiana Airlines flights cover 11 domestic and 79 international passenger routes along with 27 cargo routes.
These international passenger routes reach 65 cities in 24 countries on every continent except Africa. The airline has led the world in its attempts to be environmentally friendly and was one of the first to ban in-flight smoking. In 2010 Asiana was awarded the prestigious Airline of the Year Award.
