At meeting held Nov. 12 at KCCI key biz leaders asked MOTIE Minister Sung for government help to ease various regulations to help spur business

Chairman Park Yong-maan of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has been working hard to reform various regulations standing in the way of the business community¡¯s future plans.
Minister Sung Yoon-mo of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) is all for regulatory reform, promising he would go to any lengths to take care of the tough regulatory problems that the business community is faced with.
The minister met business leaders, including the owners of the conglomerates and top managers led by the KCCI chairman Park Yong-maan, at the KCCI building near South Gate in Seoul, telling them he will spare no effort to revive and reform the manufacturing sector, the key sector of the economy.
The participants at the meeting included such stalwart leaders as Chairman Hyun Chung-eun of Hyundai Group, Vice Chairman Yoon Bu-keun of Samsung Electronics, President Chung Jin-haeng of Hyundai Motor and Vice Chairman Park Jin-soo of LG Chemical to name some.
Minister Sung promised to boost the dynamics of the industrial ecology and its basic competitive power, adding that the government will try to be a faithful supporter for the business community so investments and job creation would be realized.
The gathering was arranged by the KCCI chairman as promised to the minister early in the year.
¡°We will see that the problems that the business community have in particular those related to the regulations are taken care of until the end.¡± the minister said.
But he said the government alone can¡¯t do all. We need your cooperation as we all have to collect our strength together and overcome the difficulties, he said. ¡°The business community should do all it can in such areas investment and the job creation.¡± the minister urged.
The KCCI chairman told Minister Sung that he hopes the government can come up with the policies aimed at revitalizing the manufacturing sector, like China¡¯s 2025 Manufacturing plan, an industrial development strategy, urging the government to come up with reformative industrial policies, which they badly need.
Minister Sung visited the robot Robotiz, the main force of future innovation development, saying Robot is the industry¡¯s leading industry for the innovation and growth industry to create high-quality jobs.
¡°By promoting key industries and creating new products, services and platforms through technical innovation and convergence in response to the fourth industrial revolver the edition. The minister promised to restore the vitality of our industry and concentrate our ability to achieve innovation¡¯s growth based on manufacturing.¡±
