KEIA Hosts Performance Series to Inform Future Generations of Importance of Energy
Starting in Daegu, musical-cum magic show is taking place in three other cities until Nov. 4

Korea Energy Information Culture Agency (KEIA) is hosting a series performances in celebration of the Month of Culture in October in cooperation with regional science centers.
The KEIA produced the show so future generations can know and understand the importance and necessity of energy. The show - in four cities across the nation - is titled ¡°Energy Adventure with the Trio.¡± It premiered in Daegu on Oct. 6.
The show is scheduled to be performed in three other cities – Busan, Seoul and Gwangju – until Nov. 4.
The show depicts the Youtube start trio who embarked on a journey to look for the missing puppy ¡°Runy,¡± but they were trapped in a room of a bad magician. It contains the trio¡¯s episode of producing diverse energies using things in the room and escaping – a tale of learning and understanding the principles of producing energy.
The show is part of the KEIA¡¯s social contribution activities to share culture, and the venues of the show are regional science centers. Admission is free.

Massive Restructuring KEIA
The massive restructuring of the KEIA has been completed two years after it was launched, in accordance with the government¡¯s energy policy paradigm shift into new and renewable energies.
The Korean Nuclear Energy Agency was changed to the current Korea Energy Information Culture Agency (KEIA). The purpose of the KEIA is help the public better understand energy and to promote energy culture by distributing objective and scientific energy information.
The restructuring called for creating a standing executive director who is virtually in charge of operating of the agency. The KEIA held its board of directors¡¯ meeting and elected Prof. Yoon Soon-jik of Seoul National University Environment Graduate School and former secretary general Yoon Ki-don of Green Korea as KEIA chairperson and executive director, respectively.
Executive Director Yoon took office on July 30. His term is three years.
Chairperson Yoon and Executive Director Yoon served as anti-nuclear activists at civic organizations and environment bodies.
Executive Director Yoon graduated from Hanyang University Nuclear Power Engineering Department and earned a doctorate degree at the university. He held positions such as secretary-general of Green Korea and a civic member on the demand subcommittee of the 7th national power supply master plan and a civic member on the new/renewable energy subcommittee of the 8th national power supply master plan.
The purpose of the KEIA is help the public better understand about energy and to promote energy culture by distributing objective and scientific energy information.
