The 2018 Bitgaram International Export of Electric Power Technology (BIXPO 2018) will take place for a three-day run from Oct. 31 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center and Holiday Inn Hotel in Gwangju.
The BIXPO 2018, to be held under the theme ¡°Energy Transition & Digital Transformation¡± will coincide with the New Power Technology Exhibition, the KEPCO International Creation Fair and the Energy Leaders Summit.
The BIXPO, hosted by Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO), made its debut in 2015 with the goal of playing a pivotal role in spurring the power industry¡¯s exploration of overseas markets and creating Bitgaram into an energy valley hub. The BIXPO has established itself as a platform to look at future power technology trends.
The BIXPO 2018 will serve as an opportunity to experience the development of the 4th Industrial Revolution and showcase an energy paradigm shift toward digital transformation like an energy shift focusing eco-friendliness, IoT, AI, and energy platform technologies.
The New Power Technology Exhibition will attract 280 corporate exhibitors while 106 inventions will be on display at the KEPCO International Creation Fair. The New Technology Conference will compose of 40 sessions and an official event. Roughly 70,000 spectators, including some 3,000 foreigners, are expected to attend the BIXPO 2018.
Korean and foreign large-sized companies and prominent SMEs will participate in the New Power Technology Exhibition. New and renewable energies, including photovoltaic power and wind power, as well as new technologies of climate change will be displayed at the Energy Shift Pavilion, while the Digital Transformation Theme Zone will deal with big data, IoT, power grid management solutions and energy efficiency solutions.
Korean and foreign startups will participate in the Smart City and Startup Exhibition, while the Inno-Tech Show will feature new technologies in next-generation transmission and smart distribution industry.
The Smart City Leaders Summit will have discussions on the establishment of a glob al cooperation regime on smart city and exemplary practices will be disclosed on Oct. 31. On the second say on Nov. 1, there will be the Smart City Tech Conference with a focus on the improving of the quality of lives through humanity-oriented smart city.
The Energy Leaders Summit, to be held on the same day, Summit, will be a upgrade of the CTO Forum, part of the BIXPO 2017. The summit is designed to establish a vision of energy paradigm changes stemming from digital transformation.
The BIXPO 2018 will spur a business matching system and hold investment explanation sessions to ramp up functions of a marketing expo. The exhibition will incorporate the Shared Growth Show KEPCO has hosted annually.
The KEPCO International Creation Fair will serve as an opportunity to consult on technology transfer and offer consulting service and market proprietary technologies.
