The flights take off Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from Incheon

Asiana Airlines launched a direct flight to Barcelona, Spain on Aug. 30 which departs from Incheon Int¡¯l Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, the airlines said Aug. 30.


The average flight time is 13 hours and 10 minutes. The flight from Incheon Int¡¯l Airport takes off at 12:45 p.m. and lands in Barcelona at 6:55 p.m and the return flight to Incheon takes off at 9:10 p.m. and arrives at Incheon at 5:05 a.m. next morning, the air carrier said.


Asiana Airlines in September and October 2017 plans to operate charter flights to Spain, which sees the airline¡¯s A380 operating Seoul Incheon – Barcelona route. Service is scheduled on 30SEP17 and 07OCT17. Reservation is not open to individual travelers. Asiana Airlines has launched a four times weekly service from its base at Seoul Incheon (ICN) to Barcelona (BCN), the carrier¡¯s first regular scheduled service to Spain.


Inaugurated on Aug. 30 the 9,590-kilometer route will be operated by the Star Alliance member year-round using its 777-200 fleet, configured with 22 business and 278 economy class seats. The city pair is already served, with incumbent Korean Air operating the service four times weekly according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.


The latter carrier started serving the route in April 2017, and Korean Air carried 52,663 passengers between its first service and 31 December, representing an average theoretical load factor during that time of 79%.


Barcelona currently serves 210 destinations in 62 countries according to The Route Shop, and has regular services from 90 airlines, with Asiana becoming the latest operator. As well as Barcelona, Asiana offers regular scheduled flights to Frankfurt, Istanbul Atatürk, London Heathrow, Paris CDG, Rome Fiumicino and Venice Marco Polo in Europe from Seoul.
