A core concept of digital manufacturing involves ICT convergence in all processes ranging from product development, production and utilization, data-driven connection, and management. The KOFAS-2018 served as a global contest venue to recognize and experience global examples of enhancing productivity through application of digital technology in manufacturing processes.
The show showcased such digital convergence products as IoT-based data transmission systems, sensors, controllers, measurements, motors, smart safety management systems, 3D printing, intelligent semiconductor equipment, and collaboration robots as well construction machineries with souped-up quality competitiveness based on digital solutions, pumps, tools and fabrication machines, and other diverse items.
Among the representative items on display were data transmission systems produced by KSENG,; sensors & controllers produced by Moru Solutions,; 3D printers produced by A-Team Ventures,; and collaboration robots produced by Inatech.
The KOFAS-2018 also featured CAD, CAM, CASE, MES, PLM, and other manufacturing engineering solutions as well as advanced IT technologies & AI, big data-related diverse products to explore ways of promoting digital manufacturing innovation. For example, Solko, CGTECH and others displayed solution products, while NeXber exhibited AI and big data-related items.
The show also coincided with diverse side events, including a design manufacturing solution seminar, ¡°LPR Global Invitational Foreign Buyer Export Negotiation Session, and a foreign vendor registration explanation session & export consultation meetings.
The design manufacturing solution seminar, which made its debut during the KOFAS-2018, was held under the theme ¡°Optimized Design & Manufacturing Solution of Smart Manufacturing Industry.¡± The seminar was designed to discuss and share information on smart manufacturing solutions like digital enterprise-based smart factory manufacturing solutions and strategies to build AR-based digital manufacturing environment.
