AmorePacific released “Jaeumboaek” targeting women in andropause under the brand “Vital Beautie” in April.
The functional health product is made with red ginseng essence, which was produced by AmorePacific’s proprietary technology, as a main ingredient and sophora extracts. It is designed to help women in the middle years of their life improve their vitality and enhance immunity levels and antioxidation.
Sophora extracts were approved as a functional ingredient efficacious for improving the health of women in andropause by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. They have proved to have an effect of improving the Kuperman Index, a measurement of evaluating women’s menopausal symptoms. The index, created by Dr. Albert D. Kuperman of New York University School of Medicine, covers 11 menopausal symptoms: hot flashes (vasomotor), paresthesia, insomnia, nervousness, melancholia, vertigo, weakness, arthralgia or myalgia, headache, palpitations, and formication.
“Middle,” “moderate,” and “severe” degrees are divided according to the degree of severity of menopausal symptoms.
Among the ingredients of Jaeumboaek are red ginseng in and itself, which has an effect of improving vigor and relieving fatigue. AmorePacific has employed the technology of maxing out in extracting natural substance in red ginseng, Korea’s first such patent involving ginseng.
Adding to the ingredients is Jeju Broad-leaf Bamboo, a Jeju specialty plant belonging to the bamboo family which grows only in Halla Mountain, Jeju Island.
AmorePacific has used as an adjunct ingredient upgraded “Jaeummidan.” The company has developed and raised the traditional natural plant Jaeummidan since 2002. Jaeummidan contain diverse herbal substances good for body, which are found in such things as dill, kudzu, and licorice.
For carrying and consumption at ease, Jaeumboaek takes the format of liquid ample instead of the conventional capsule and other type. Vital Beautie has become the first one to adopt a technology of liquefying sophora instead of powered one.
Consuming only one ample of Jaeumboaek daily is contributing to easing women’s menopausal symptoms.
It is possible to care for body biorhythm since the product can be carried and consumed at ease. The liquid of the ample can be directly consumed or mixed with hot water of 100 to 150 ml or cold water of 250 to 500 ml.
